BTW, I was just watching our 11 o'clock new cast and they did a story on this whole rebate mess. They confirmed they had contaced the IRS and confirmed the whole direct deposit and using a product like Turbo Tax and paying your fee's out of your refund...So, the word is getting out. The IRS did say they apologized!

lmale...that's great. They apologized...I feel so much better now.

I'm just really confused about the whole thing, because I just spoke to someone this morning who said she got her stimulus payment by direct deposit on Friday, and she used an online tax service (TaxCut by H&R Block) and had the fees taken out of her refund...yet she got her stimulus payment already, by direct deposit.

Now I am even more confused! I did mines thru Taxbrain and my refund was sent to taxbrain then they deducted my fee and direct deposited into my account. I called IRS and Taxbrain and they told me that I am getting a papercheck. That is weird that your friend got hers direct deposited.

Trust me, I know, katelyn2cool! I'm totally confused and frustrated by all this. This isn't the first report I've heard of someone who got their stimulus payment by direct deposit when the IRS said they would get a paper check instead. I truly don't think the IRS knows what the heck is going on.
