Long story short I'm on a payment plan for my tax bill from last year and it looks like i'll owe again this year, will they allow me to add that amount to my current plan? Thanks Reny

I don't see why not are they currently in your plan now? You should check with that company and make sure

I think they will set up a new plan with you once this recent taxes are paid, Have you went to the irs website and looked at the frequently asked questions, they may have something stated about it there. I am on a payment plan with them also, I owe just a little this year, so I will pay it and be done with it.
How big is your debt that you are currently paying on? Don't forget about the economic stimulus, it is my understanding that they will deduct any taxes owed out of it, so that will be a chunk off your debt right there. I don't know what you situation is but for a married couple it is $1200 and $600 for single, more if you have children.
I would go to the irs website and surf the questions and see what you can find out there. goodluck.

I thought that I read somewhere that they will not deduct that out (stimulus payment) of the taxes that you owe...I could be wrong though

I looked it up on the IRS site, but don't really understand it, it sounds like they will take it...

Bad news, good news.....
Bad: If you owe the IRS, they will reduce/keep your Stimulus payment. I know, that ain't very damn stimulating to me, either.
Good: If they reduce/keep your payment, they will apply that money to your debt with them. That could be a significant leg up on getting free of them.
If you're on a payment plan, and you're current with it, they may or may not keep your payment. Check the IRS website link below, or call them up and ask. What's the worst they can say?

Yes it will be added to the payment plan. We owed 3 years in a row and they just continued to keep taking the payments. Do call them and discuss this with them or you will get some of their nasty letters. This way they can document the conversation.

No, my payment stayed the same, although the interest and fees did get added onto everything, but it really wasn't too bad. Just give them a call and they will work with you.
