I know - I'm hoping that MAYBE, just MAYBE, if my check is mailed out on the 20th (or a couple days before? crossing my fingers!) that it just MIGHT arrive in time for my trip next weekend to take my youngest to his dad for the summer. It's not a long trip, but paying $150 for gas in addition to other bills and rent is really not in my budget right now.

That's why I'm Ebay-ing!!

Thanks, Luke! Right now I'm praying for sales....a couple of things have come up in the past week that are making the last half of this month look pretty rough!

I've called the IRS and they say my Rebate is still " no information at this time." However..I'm REALLY not expecting it until the beginning of July. I'm just going by the payment schedule the IRS has. I'm getting my mailed.

The only thing along that line that I've heard is that late filers [after April 15] will get theirs starting in about October. You wouldn't have a link to where you read that, would you?

If it's any help, my parents just got their 'letter' in the mail on Saturday that says they are getting a stimulus payment, how much, and when to expect it. They are scheduled for June 20 mailing, just like me - but I haven't gotten my letter yet. I'm hoping it will show up soon! However, I've seen this little letter thing show up in people's mailboxes at varying times - a week before they get their check, the day they get it, and up to 3 weeks after. There seems to be no rhyme nor reason to it.

Well, things are definitely looking up! I got my letter in the mail today that says I am receiving a stimulus payment - it says it should be received by June 20. I'm really hoping it comes by Saturday so we have a little extra to take on our trip, in case of emergency.

Suebeehoney70, do you mind if I ask what the last two of your social are? I haven't received anything and was told in the beginning my refund would be directly deposited but it never happened. Now I am told paper check by mail.

Thanks!

I am in the bracket that is included in the June 20 mailing - SSN's ending in 52 - 63. My parents are also in that bracket.

Did you receive your letter stating you would receive a stimulus payment and when it would be coming?

Gardnerjl, did you perhaps get your refund for 2007 as a 'Rapid Refund' or other RAL, or have fees, etc., deducted from your refund? Any of those things will cause a direct deposit to default to a paper check.

I used taxactonline.com and did have my fees deducted and then the money was deposited in my account from them direct deposit. My last two #s are 83. I have not received my letter yet because you do not get that until closer to the date is what I have been told. I did get the original notice a while backing stating I would be getting $1200.
