I just realized you can go online and send money, my only concern is you use your debit card. Has anyone ever done this online before? Who actually gets the debit card info, is it western union? I just want to make sure i get all my information before i decide if i want to use this option.

A prepaid debit card is a good way to go, but when I was dealing with getting a payment to CashCall, I found the online way just wasn't going to work. I think I could only get it to work if I were to send it to just one person...

I've always heard it's a bad idea to use Western Union or other wire services to send payment to payday lenders...it's sometimes hard to prove receipt of the money, leaving the lender an opening to say they didn't get it and continue pursuing you. I'm not sure why, but that's what I've always heard - that a money order or cashier's check by mail is the best way to handle the payment.

I think anyway you send it they can say they didn't get it... I wonder why you can't prove it with the wire services, you'd have a confirmation number and everything. Or are the companies in cahoots with the money services, they bot say it ended up in the ether why they both take a share?

Just knowing some background info about how WU works. With the quick collect system, a check actually prints at their (the recepient's) office or they get auto deposited electronically to a designated account. If they cash the WU check or choose to "accept" the autodeposit, they have accepted the funds.
If they say they didnt get it, and did either of the two thing above, then WU can actually take action.

When you send wire transfers oversees there is no way to track it. That's why it's not safe to send to the online PDL's.
To answer the question--I have used WU online to send payments. It's quick and easy. The only prob. is usually after I do it, I get a call from my bank asking if I really authorized it...Which makes me feel good and annoyed at the same time..lol Good that they're being protective, and annoyed that they authorize the payment before asking me.

Jessi-If you have the pdl city/state code for the quick collect, how do you know its going overseas? Would they have a different code?

I believe so. It's been a while since I dealt with the PDLs. They've been known to say, "We didn't get the payment."
Also, once it's been sent, you can't stop it if it's been collected from them.

Jessi-So do you think it would be safe to send payments online to pdl companies, if I have all of their information needed for wu?

TMBL--I would not send it to them that way. They cannot get your debit card number, but like I said before, if they turn around and say that they did not get it--There's not a good way to trace it.
Make them give you an address and send them a money order.

My cash now said their address is a Canadian address and cashnet usa said that they cannot accept checks, no processing area. Have you dealt with either company or do you have suggestions?

I've dealt with them both.
Cashnet will take a money order. You just have to be a jerk about it. If they want the money bad enough, they'll take it. Someone around here got an address for them, I'll have to search for it. (Or someone might beat me to it.)
