I was attempting to post a reply in the Student Loan forum that involved a couple of hyperlinks. Just government websites, IRS and stuff. Anyway, something sent the spam filter ballistic. Maybe it's gettin' on time to tune the filter a bit?...

That's nuts...I didn't see anything, but sometimes words that have parts of um, male medicine names in them don't make it through the spam filter. I know b l o n d e can't make it through either.

This picks up on certain words, there is a word in there that triggers it..
Just like I can't tell you that I have B L O N D E hair....lol

'<a>' and '</a>' are HTML tags for an embedded link, which spam artists like to put in their posts. The filter blocks these tags.
In your case, looks like the filter caught the " A / " at the end of your nslds.ed.gov link. Try not to put the letter "A" right next to a "/" and it should post for you.

And never mind that 'A-slash' does not equate to 'slash-A'. Gawd, even a Windows box is capable of making that distinction.

Uncle, I am sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.
Few days back, lots of spammers were throwing their junk urls on the board. The links never got posted. Only the tags used to show up. I applied spam filter on it for some time. Now, I have removed it from the database. You will be able to post without any problem.

I totally agree with unc....very frustrating sometimes... tho sometimes posts have a very common word that is not allowed here ..... and you have to be very creative to come up with alternative word or phrase that equates same meaning...and your post doesn't seem quite the same because you had to delete a certain word...
hey! one of my bro's has wife who has put him on many internet restrictions...he races LATE MODEL STOCK CARs...if he enters that phrase...NO WAY can he enter sights because wife has blocked him from models I.E. ....regarding girly ...forbidden websights ...if ya know what I mean! ..there are a lot of words or phrases blocked here but I think all of our collective creativity will in the end prevail!!!!
