How do I deal with store front payday loans in Washington,DC. I went to them from Maryland
I have had the same loan with them for about a year. 300 with a 45.00 per payday or 90.00 monthly payment/345.00 payoff.
I lost my job and can't pay 345.00 they haven't called yet because my phone is now cut off......plus I am a victim of identity theft where almost $7,000 has been taken from my account.

I am all over this website in all sorts of topics all dealing with payday loans, but this identity theft is the worst and I am not sure how to rise above all this nightmare

I believe you have already activated the fraud alert with the bureaus and filed police complaints in this regard. Call the creditors and explain everything about these suspicious accounts. Seeing the documents from your side and verify the account details, they will remove the items from your credit file. It may take some time to happen but this is only way you have to get it done. Make sure that you have all papers to prove these accounts are unknown to you.

You said that the payday loan with the storefront lender is your debt. Give them priority because they might take you to the court if you are not making any payments. Use a payphone to make the first call and then do all communications in writing. They will acknowledge the issue and do some arrangements for you.
