Why is this company taking money out of my bank account? I have no idea who they are. What can I do to get back my money and stop further withdrawls from my account.

Hi Coachsmithm,

You need to contact WFNNB or the third party collector who reported the item to the credit bureaus. The contact information should be there on the credit report. When you contact them, ask them to validate the debt. Send them a validation letter. If they fail to validate the account, you will not be liable to pay it off. You can then send the credit bureaus a letter, along with the required proof, asking them to remove the listing from your credit report.

I have had an account with Lane Bryant for years, never been late on a payment. I started getting harassing calls from a collection agency even on Sundays. I checked my LB account thru my online banking and all payments were made ontime. I asked my bank to fax them proof of payment on the last 5 mounths that were in question and they received nothing backl My payments suddenly appeared back on my account , after about 3 weeks someone told me that my payments should have been made to WFNNB I am so MAD. What is going on?

Hi Vonni,

I'm not sure why Lane Bryant would send the account to a collection agency, if you have never been late on payments. You must have proof that you made your payments on time for the last 5 months and Lane Bryant did receive them. I think you should contact them and check out what exactly happened with the account. Has it been sold off to the collection agency? Or, is the collection agency is merely collecting the payments on Bryant’s behalf. If the account has been sold off, talk to the collection agency regarding this. Make sure you know how they are going to apply your payments and how much interest, fees, etc. they will charge, before making any sort of payments to the collection agency.

WFNNB,
Had some type of computer problem while I paid my bill infull in a local Mall -store In Ohio. The bill was not documented on the register , but the check cleared the bank.
WFNNB, are still trying to get me to pay Late charges when the Bill was paid in May.
I just don't get this one.

Get a copy of the check front and back. There will be writing on the back of the check that the register at the store made. Call WFNNB and arrange to send them the copy either thru the mail or to fax it directly to someone.

wfnnb stands for Stage Department Store, before it was Stage I beleive it was Anthonys Department Store, if anyone has wfnnb/mfg that stands for Macys Department Store.

The number you gave, 800-675-5685, leads to an automated system which asks if you want to speak to a specific person. Otherwise ,you are to hold for a customer service rep.,who never answers. I called again, and left a message on the first employee listed, still not getting a human. I only wanted an address for WFNNB to send a payment on my sister's
account. The account is not past due. What's going on with this company???????????
