Why is WFNNB on my credit report?

WFNNB stands for World Financial Network National Bank and it operates form Texas. If there is a credit report entry from this organization, then you may have an account with them.

WFNNB is a private credit card provider and is an affiliate of the Alliance Data System. They're also known to underwrite cards for many other business entities, some of them are Victoria's Secret, Dress Barn, Lane Bryant, Clark Gas Station and so forth. Hence, if you hold a card from any of these business houses, WFNNB may appear in your report if you default.

You can contact them on 1-800-695-5316 / 1-800-224-3114. Also you can get in touch with them through 614-729-4000.

However, if you owe to WFNNB, it would be wise to pay them off if you can. It'll save you lots of hassles. But if there is a wrong entry posted by WFNNB in your credit report, you're required to dispute it with the credit bureaus. Equifax also offers the benefit of disputing online.

HELLO, I PULLED MY CREDIT REPORT TODAY. AS IT TURNES OUT MY CREDIT IS 23X90. FROM WFNNB/BENDEL. I DON'T KNOW WHO THAT IS. I NEER BEEN THERE. AND NOW IT IS RUINING MY CREDIT. I TRIED TO CALL THE NUMBERS THAT POSTED ON THE WEB AND CANNOT GET THROUGH. WHEN I PRESS 0 TWICE, THE AUTOMATED SYSTEM IS HANGING UP ON ME. WHEN I PULLED MY CREDIT ON 02/15/2005. WFNNB/BENDEL WAS NOT THERE. I WANT THIS TO GET IT OFF MY CREDIT REPORT. CAN ANYBODY TELL ME HOW????? I CALLED THE CREDIT AGENCIES, THEY GOT NO # FOR WFNNB/BENDEL. Hi Guest, Welcome to the forums. Please get a copy from all the three credit bureaus to compare the said entry. Experian at 888-397-3742, Equifax at 800-685-1111 and Trans Union at 800-916-8800. If you have been denied credit, you will get a copy of your credit report totally free of cost. Most creditors report valid debts to all the three credit bureaus but there is no complete assurance of it. So it is very necessary to get a report from all the three bureaus to check if the debt is genuine. If your other two credit bureaus are not reporting the said entry, you have to dispute the error with the agency reporting it.
