Default Wilshire Credit Corporation violates collection laws. Beware

The fax number of wilshire credit corporation is 503-952-7476 for the main office in Oregon or direct to the main office in New York is 212-670-4690. The toll free number to Oregon is 888-917-1050--some extensions are 7197, 7597, 7881,7733, 7661, 7701, 7560--or direct dial to
503-525-7257. There is a dispute department and Wilshire is required by law to respond to any dispute you put in writing and send to them--or the attorney general for the state of Oregon or the better business bureau. The address for Wilshire is 14523 SW Millikan Way Suite 200, Beaverton, Oregon 97005. There is also a local News Station who will look into allegations and you can e mail them at KATU.com and go to KATU on your side. I hope this will be helpful to you, and good luck in the pursuit of justice!

A number also for the main office of Merrill Lynch in New York is 866-654-7411. They are now the parent company for Wilshire. You may want to make your concerns known to them as well.

I am glad to help. Many employees and ex-employees of wilshire credit corporation are currently filing complaints and or taking legal action against them for discrimination against women and minorities, non-payment of overtime wages, se*ual harrassement and misconduct. You can go online to the Oregon Court System and look at the case info of Halverson vs Wilshire, she filed suit against them a few years past--for discrimination, there have been numerous complaints. The HR department has a long history of retaliating against employees for reporting misconduct and harrassement.

Default we have had some serious problems with wilshire credit corpo

I wanted to thank you for this information,,we have had some serious problems with default loan servicing company wilshire credit corporation, for the last 6 months they have allowed me to send my payments to a mailing address they advise is old so they have been hammering me with late fees,, when i called after the first late fee they mentioned nothing about a wrong address. I asked them to remove it and they said no they are a collection company also and plan to collect the late fees. My bank was the one to identify the are holding on to my payments until the day it would be late.
Wilshire's excuse is that it takes 14 days for them to receive and process and post my payment.
I faxed a complaint accusing them of this which is fraud

Anyone know who else i could file a complaint with,,who governs or over sees companies like this

Thank You so much for your help

Default wilshire credit corporation collection agency and FDCPA

Since all the major credit card companies and collection agencies are governed by the Federal Trade Commission, Better Business Bureau, they are required to comply as per the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

Please have a look at the FTC website to gather some useful information regarding the consumer rights.

Default wilshire credit corporation can't avoid FDCPA

The fdcpa laws are applicable to any business institution that is legally involved in collecting the debt from the consumers. It can be a collection agency (like wilshire credit corporation as well as your creditors also.

Default wilshire credit corporation

i just wish that some of wilshire credit corporation employees would step up and do the right thing and help us out here who are losing their homes. I know that I would never stand by and let this happen.I couldt sleep at night knowing that I knew that the company I worked for was putting hard working men and women with children on the streets because of losing their homes.I would have to make a stand on this.I hope that some employees will be brave enough to do this.there is a judgement day coming.

Default wilshire credit corporation

My home was purchased in1988 with a princial balance of 30,000.00 In november of 1996 Hud sold mortgage to Ocwen in June of 1997.Ocwen transfered mortgage to Wilshire Credit,Augest 1997 I started getting forclosure notices. This has been an on going thing, I never get the same amount of balance. I have called several times and never get to speak to the same person.I have paper work stating all kinds of amounts. My payments have gone 144.00 and my balance goes up also.I am charged taxes that werent payed, over charged taxes charged late fees, attorney fees, appraisal fees and inspection fees.My payments are not posted on time, some are not even being posted at all and now that I finally got a copy of my payment history after years of asking for it.I have found that my payments where being held for 8(eight months)before they were applied to my account. At this time all late charged every month to my account. One whole year was applied and the next year they removed all the past year payments.I also was charged for insurance that I already had. This company is very rude,They send forclosure notices every few months, I have sent them so much money in the thousands to keep from loosing my home.money i didnt owe .This company has me oweing more money on my prinicpal than I owed 18 years ago.I recently recieved a foreclosure notice,This time I couldnt send a large amount of money,I have complained over the internet to try and get some kind of help.No luck,I called and tried to talk to a lady from wilshire and she was rude, she also told me that I better stay off the internet,That they would sue me ,and there for a while she knew every one I contacted over the net. But with no help out there ,I filed bankrupty, So I guess this is going to the end now.But I did forget to say that for the past few years I have recorded all their nasty conversations with me ,all the way down to their threats, cussing, calling me stupid, poverty stricken and much more. wilshire credit corporation company is stealing consumers dreams. And for all the employes there are gone if they stand by or stood by and let this company destroy peoples lives ,well they got whats comming to them, because they are the same as crooked as the company they work for.

Default Wilshire Credit Corporation should be punished for their fra

Hi Vaughan

It's very sad especially after you have fulfilled your responsibilities of paying towards the account. wilshire credit corporation should be punished for their fraudulent activities and then being rude to the consumers like you.

Have you thought of taking some legal actions against them? If you leave them aside, they will continue like this with many more and destroy other peoples' lives. Someone needs to make a move and shut this company.

Please file your complaints at the FTC, BBB and the attorney general office in your state in the hope of some restitution. Also consult your lawyer for some justice at your end. I am really sorry for what has gone by your side.

Default Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002

Question...

If an ex-employee gives out information, that is factual and beneficial to the public, is it still conisdered a violation of Sarbanes-Oxley Act?

What about if the news did it?
