Has anyone had any transactions with this pay-day loan "company", located out of Reno, NV? I've explained to them, literally seven times, in the past 24 hours, that I'm working with a debt consolidation company, who will be contact them to set up a payment plan, and they are calling, over and over again. Now they've reached the point, when calling me at work, while I was in the restroom, and my boss answered the phone, of accusing her of lying for me and refusing to put the call through to me. I've told everyone who calls, from this company to call my home or cell, but they continue to call my company and I'm really worried that their harassment of my co-workers, not to mention manager, are going to jeopardize my job... Help!

hi people there with there problems i was checking website and i found it out this .... the most major problem i found it out was when you call at customer services no one reply i guess.... i should look for the matter...... i be checking this site daily and i try to reply how much i can and might be solve your problems...... thanks

I too was in a desperate situation and applied for a $200.00 loan and they have taken out various amounts for 14 weeks ranging from $27 to $337 and now I am forced to close my account because they just keep taking money out. I talked to a rep today and he said I still owe $714. I asked how was that possible and he hung up on me.

Bernadette, I am sad that you have also become a part of this scam with Cash Today. Talk to your bank and close your checking account immediately. This company will continue making the unauthorized debits if the account is kept active. Talk to your bank as they might be familiar with this issue.

Also, your bank can dispute with the company on the debits already made. Each of them has to be verified and if they fail to give a valid explanation, it should be refunded back to you. You can consider taking some legal help also regarding this matter.

I was contacted today by Cash Today, Ltd for a payday loan. Iwrote down the names and numbers of all the companies I contacted, so imagine my surprise when I received a call on my cell phone from London, England!!!! I hung up on them only for them to call back from the same number. Not too smart. I called the toll-free number, 1-800-690-9975, and did a search on the number. Guess what, I actually spoke to the same man who recognized my voice!! It is being routed to a location in Outer London, telephone number, 011-44-2084922780. I hope this helps in your efforts. :D

The lady with the $279 money order, don't send them a dime. They are fake. I called the company that is listed on the BBB and they are using their information and they don't know anything about them. Go to the BBB.com and put in Cash Today Limited, State is NV and see what comes up. They have had several, a lot of complaints. I wouldn't send them S--T!!!

I have had problems with them also. They have stopped sending me emails and I don't have their email address so I am building up what I owe them. I need to pay them off. They are quite sneaky also because they never explained that the money due was compounded weekly. I read monthly. My stupidity for thinking that I read ALL the tiny print. I am still trying to pay them back. I am in the same boat as you.

Diane
P.S. Thanks to all of you for the suggestions to Linnie. I am going to utilize them also.

Contact Darren of Cash Today limited at darrenw(at)cash2day4u.com

Request for an itemized statement or call them at 800-680-2177 to know your loan status. After you have reviewed the total amount paid so far, then only make further payment arrangements. Do you have their contract in paper? It will be good to give a thorough view once again.

They are they worst people. They just give you the feeling that they are scamming you and I really think they are. I asked them to email me the info about my account and Monika told me that they couldn't do that. Then they gave me and address in Nevada. I filed a complaint with the FTC. Rooney called me at work and I told him I would call him back with in an hour, then Jeffery called me 3 minutes later and I went off on him. And then he kept calling different people at my work. It was nuts. Then they told me I had to pay with a money order and fax it with my social on there, because I told them my account was closed. And Monika, who claims she is the supervisor there with no one above her, said they don't take credit card payments. This company is nuts.

Actually, it is in a way rather encouraging that they are willing to accept a money order instead. This is acutally more secure for you that giving them a credit card. When I was taking care of my ICS issue this is how I sent the payments. it worked fairly well. they ask for the fax to show that you have obtained the MO, since they don't get it for about 2 weeks. ( The US address you send it to is a mail drop that forwards to their UK address. Tell them you will pay only the principal balance (if you know it)unless they provide you with written proof of the additional fees owning. You may have to negotiate a bit. I ended up paying the fee twice ($178 instead of $89), but that was all and did it in $75 installments.

i took a loan with them and paid back $279 dollars which is what i'm supposed to pay. i called them in time and paid back. i had no problems. when they read the terms and conditions, i took a pen and wrote the key points. in fairness to payday loan companies, they read the conditions of the loan to u, but u need to take the time out to listen and ask them to repeat or explain if u don't understand. my friend spoke to a lady called anne who gave her some discount and was really nice to her. i advice people in this forum to call in and pay up for the sake of peace of mind and ask for anne who is probably the only angel there. if the case gets to court, chances her that they will win as they read u a contract which is recorded, (oral contract) and thats as binding as a written contract.

Jessica, you are perhaps right with the point that you have made out. But I still differ when the company is not giving anything in writing when a contract has already been made with them. It is necessary for Cash Today to send the contract in writing even if they read the terms and conditions over the phone. Did you get something in writing from them?

Jessica, your bank must have dealt with similar complaints against this company. Take their help and get it verified with the company. Once the items have been disputed with them, Cash Today is forced to verify it with proper narrations. If they fail to send the verification, you can take help of your lawyer in dealing with the company.

Also, put your complaints at the FTC, BBB and the local AG's office. I am sure that they have also received number complaints against Cash Today. Request them to take their actions fast.

I borrowed $200. from them last year along with a few other companies. When it came time to pay off my balances, the other companies were deducted my money but cash today never stopped now into $5,000 from a $200 loan. What the $#@*? I had no original paperwork to contact them with like the other companies and I could not get my bank to stop these automatic payments of $79. every other week. I had to call banks to get numbers in order to contact Cash Today. Then this foreign lady named Jeny told me I only owe $279. because I had stopped the payments of $79. from coming out of my account only to realize that they started taking out $158. to double up on the payment that I tried to stop. I originally tried to stop that $79. payment so the company would contact me like any other bill collector would do. But they didnt, they just doubled the payment and the bank let them do it because I stopped the payment of $79. and not a different amount. I could not stop Cash Today from making a withdrawal but as long as they entered an amount they could take it from me. The bank suggested that I close my account and open another one, but then I would have to contact every company that I deal with to change my information. This company has been a %#@**() headache. Not only that once they took the $279. that Jeny told me was ALL that I owed now; they took two more payments of $39. each to total $78. and all she could say was it was a mistake. I cannot go on there website that she keeps giving me because it does not exist. This is a bunch of mess.

Yeah, I had the same experiences as everyone else. I told my boss simply to tell him when they call that he needs a court order on paper to enforce any type of payments options. Also if tey do sue you there is a simple way out of it. When you give your answer to the court simply put in a motion to dismisss the case, ask for a discovery period, and request a copy of the original prommisary note. All banks can not provide this, and they will lose the case.

I originally accepted a loan from cash2day with the understanding that if I paid it back at the end of the month plus the service fee that would be the end of it. However they never informed me that they would automatically deduct the $79 service fee every two weeks for a two hundred dollar loan. So once they did that it made it more difficult to pay back the two hundred dollar loan and since then they have recieved nearly 500 until I stopped payment on the ACH. They call anywhere from 8 to 15 times per day and even call after 9pm which I thought was against the law. They call me names and threaten me, and if I hang up on them they call like 10 times in a row. How do I stop the harrasment? I am in NY and I don't know where to turn...I thought a quick payday loan would get me through a tough time but it has turned out to be a nightmare that won't end.

Miel..
I'm sooo sorry. These people are the worst I've seen yet. You're best bet is to try to work out a payment plan with them, better yet pay it off!!
You may want to freeze or close your account..I highly suggest one or the other. They will continue to attempt to hit it.
As for the law...well, they are not going by the United States law..they are located out of this country and we're still speculating on where their located.
Please, close your account and possibly change your phone number, try to make payment arrangments or pay them in full.
They are the worst of the worst and I'm sorry this has happened to you. But a lot of us got involved with these theives and this is what we have had to resort to...
Let us know how it goes...

I only had one loan which I extended for 3 months! ($200 loan and each extension $79.00!) I asked if I could get a bigger loan in January because they boast up to $1500. I was making 100,000 at that time and they told me they only lend $200! They made a $200.00 debit on my account 2 weeks ago and today $395! and I still get those "you have elected to extend your loan" Make a report on ripoffreports.com. They're part of the BadBusinessBureau. The BBB doesn't do anything. Any company can get on that list by payiing the club fees!

Hello no brainer - as mentioned by everyone else - notify them in writing to stop and send certified mail. When they call again make sure you can prove it (witness) file small claims or municipal. Not only will you probably get the amount of your loan but 3 x in damages for violation of federal law. Judges love that!

darn, the company is manipulating your account the most. You need to talk to an attorney regarding this matter. Taking the first step and close your bank account from which they are debiting the amount. Get their transaction code blocked so that they don't have money using different amounts. You have to take care of this matter now before you lose your precious money to a scam company.

I borrowed $200 from them a little over a year ago, and was sure this loan was paid off. They contacted me on Thursday, October 26, 2006, saying I owed them $2,388. I was flabbergasted. The lady got really irate with me, and I hung up on her, she immediately called back and left me a voice mail message saying she was going to have me prosecuted for fraud. I ignored it, and went onto the FTC's website and filed a complaint. I think a lot of us need to do so in order for the FTC to step in, and flood the Nevada Attorney General's office with complaints. Just a suggestion.

Thank you for providing me with an address for these people. I have told them many times I would be glad to pay them if they provided me with a mailing address and account number and each time they refused told me I had no choice but to give them a credit card number. I may have been stupid enough to do the loan but I am not that stupid! They call my work several times a day even though I have requested them not to and leave very threating messages on my voice mail.

Do not put up with their crap for one more second! The next time they call your work, tell them that you are filing a report with your local police department for harassment and then DO IT!!!!! See how fast they stop calling--it worked for me! Only pay back what your borrowed and not a penny more. They are completely illegal.
