Has anyone had any transactions with Cash Today, Ltd.

Has anyone had any transactions with this pay-day loan "company", located out of Reno, NV? I've explained to them, literally seven times, in the past 24 hours, that I'm working with a debt consolidation company, who will be contact them to set up a payment plan, and they are calling, over and over again. Now they've reached the point, when calling me at work, while I was in the restroom, and my boss answered the phone, of accusing her of lying for me and refusing to put the call through to me. I've told everyone who calls, from this company to call my home or cell, but they continue to call my company and I'm really worried that their harassment of my co-workers, not to mention manager, are going to jeopardize my job... Help!

I filed a complaint with the Nevada BBB regarding Cash Today Limited's behavior. However, I got a reply that they didn't agree with my complaint and it was being dismissed. Cash Today cited the fact that I hadn't paid my loan in full, and that I had a "call interrupt" service on my home phone which made contacting me at home impossible (BS as they've left me messages there before), and that they therefore HAD to call me at work. They also said they do not fall under any privacy or debt laws and therefore can do whatever they want. So, they dismissed my complaint.

The email address on the reply from Cash Today was darrenw(at)cash2day4u.com so please feel free to flood him with your complaints about his company and the way they harass us.

Pmburk

You should talk with the company about your debt. Not making arrangement towards your debt will further become more painful.

Pmburk: Send your complaint to the Nevada Attorney General. They are investigating Cash Today for numerous of complaints and hopefully will determine if they fall under Nevada's laws. Cash Today claims to be a non-US company and are not required to operatate under our laws, but they operating in the US and are abusing and harassing consumers. There must be something to do to stop them.

I can beleive the BBB is dismissing the complaint based on what Cash Today said. I mean, if they told the BBB that they can do whatever they want, dont ya think the BBB would have a problem with that.

If anyone is a resident of New York, Texas and Georgia and has an open payday loan you can contact the company to stop collecting this debt because it is illegal in these states. I recently let one company know and they refunded me $470.

LadyStylz,
How do you go about doing that? I live in Texas.

Check out from the Trade Unions if a particular company is licensed to collect debt in the following states. If they are not, you can send a letter asking for a refund. Hopefully, this might be the natural process. Isn't it, LadyStylz?

Shbear,

Trade Unions are those associations which list all the business enterprises operating in your state. You can also take the necessary information from the consumer protection office in your state.
