Overdrafts !!! Bank of america

Did you not have the funds in your account at the time that they tried to clear? I don't see how you would plead your case if those funds weren't in there. Were some of your deposits held back until they cleared? If so they should have notified you of this before hand. Others will be along to advise further. I just don't know what your defense would be :roll:

How long have you banked with B of A? Have you ever had any overdrafts in the past? What caused you to become overdrawn this time?

If you can provide a few more details, someone might be able to help you with the best way to proceed.

I really don't think that headquarters or the CEO can help you in your situation. Technically it was your fault the account went negative correct?

hey, right now i am having a similar problem (two bounced checks). it was my first time ever and i have banked with the same bank for awhile now. i asked for the manager and they did take off one of NSFs. i had a payment automatically taken out of my account (i cancelled auto-pay for utilites but was late for the cycle to cancel and did not know so the payment came out and bounced two checks, i was so embarrsed but the bills have to be paid!) because it was my first time, they did waive the fee. maybe your bank could waive at least one? when i was in my payday loan days, i had a lot owed with PNC and they helped me a bit with fees, too. that said, they might not help you (they don't really have to..) but it's worth a try.

I do realize this is my fault ... but this snowball effect had happened. I am negative again because everytime i make a deposit it goes to making my account positive and then bills bounce ...so now im about 2 months behind and in the neg !

Can you give me like a sample letter to send ...im not sure what to say ....but i feel suffocated and hopeless right now ... I the past i had a few overdrafts here and there but nothing likethis EVER

Ok i printed out my statements from july and August. I plan on going to the branch manager tommorow morning I figure I should start there first. In total from 7/8/08 to now i was hit with 50 NSFs !! What should I say to him when i meet with him. If he cant help me I will write that Kenneth Lewis gentleman.

We did not have a branch near by until the buy out of LaSalle Bank(I live in Michigan)..
The branches have been very helpful on other matters

hey, Confused - I just wanted to see how everything went with Bank of America.. I hope August was a better month for you. :)

Cool Blog you have started. I have tried those sites are well. It is possible to make a little here n there at them but it is slow coming. Just be careful of the spyware and adware that can mess up your computer. :wink:
