We live in Texas. my husband is being sued by cach llc. we have been dealing w/ them for some time. I sent a letter to 2 different law firms representing them requesting information on the debt and received no response. The first was in 3/07 and the second was 12/07. He has never had a card with the bank they have listed. The lawsuit was filed by a different (this makes three that i am aware of) lawyer. We have received no paperwork from this one before.
From reading in this forum other questions, i know we need to answer the request for admissions. Do i also send a letter of debt validation to this new lawyer representing them? this has been a nightmare. My child is not able to answer the phone because someone was calling saying his dad was a worthless piece of sh..; they told him he was going to go to jail. They were calling him at work until he logged their numbers in as a don't answer id. They have called his mother telling her that he will be fired from his job. they have threatened to have me fired from my job. they have told him they would come take the money "out his a.." this is just a few of the things we had been dealing with. Once i sent a letter to the law firm, they stopped for a while. I don't even know if this is something he owes. He has only had one credit card ever and the limit was 2000, (They are trying to collect 7623) and this was before we were married 8 years ago. He had made payments on it for a long time, was not using it after we married at all. but like i said, we don't even know if this is related to what cach is doing. no one will answer that question.
Please help, what do i do?

I like many of the others responding to this page. CACH, LLC is pursuing legal action in small claims court for a balance under 2500.00. They claimed I never tried to negotiate a debt payment plan with them. My court date is in June. One attorney advised me not respond; I need help badly; I am currently receiving SSDI and could not come up with the money they requesting. I have paid off other debts. Cach, LLC chose to sue me! I will be in court. Any advice on how to fight this law firm? also, I have never spoken to an attorney.

I too am being taken to court by CACH LLC for an old capital one credit card that I stopped paying in March of 2009. The original debt was less than 900 and they are now suing me for 2400. My court date is May 19th. Do I need to file a motion to show cause before this date to make them prove that this is indeed my account? From the things others have said and the fact that they fish around in the summons appear to me that this may not even be my account. Plus the statement attached to the summons isnt even a copy of my agreement but the standard agreement which was not a reflection of my capital one agreement.

This is a trick, you must deny each request for admission within 30 days, in writing, if you don't they will use the requests to determine that you admitted them and then they won't have to prove anything and the judge will give them a judgment in their favor. Be sure to file an answer also, denying each allegation in the complaint.

Wow! Sounds a LOT like Portfolio Recovery!
CACH just called me regarding a debt with GE Capital for a debt of $1200.00 I owe for dental work. Unfortunately, I do owe it... The lady was firm, but nice rude. She didn't threaten me and actually asked me for options. $900 to settle, at $300 per month.
