I am not sure what CA it is. He has said that I cant go in store to make payment, but if after this next week I dont have a payment made to them, that it is being sent back to Target saying that I was unwilling to work with them. I think I am going to go by store todayt and try to make a payment and see what heppens. It just seems funny that they say the payment HAS to be made by check over phone or credit/debit card, no mail in.
They want access to your bank account. Don't give it to them.

I dont remember getting any letter from them, I think the company is either ERMT, Encore or NCO, all that I have found are dirty companies. How are they allowed to do business like this? Why arent they being stopped from doing business like this. I understand they are doing a job and collection is the name of the game, but why can they act the way they do? Is it because the people who can make a difference dont have debt and dont have to deal with them. I know if my payment goes through in store, they are going to get hell from me. Is it part of business for them to only take payment over phone?

are you still getting bills from target?that happened with my
CHASE card.if you are still getting bills it is an in house collector.they also tried that i couldn't go to a branch to pay,but lo and behold i am paid off.all at the branch.

I ment to say ERMI not ERMT, I am behind on 3 credit cards, somewhere between 2 to 3 hundred a piece, they are really active on getting this money. If anyone ever owed me money, I want to get them to collect for me. Although, I think one of the cards started around 300 and now bill showed to be around 750, would a DVL be the way to go with this?

i would do that, also try to go to a store and see if you can pay
that way.i would never give bank info over the phone.

You have to send the DV within 30 days of their first letter to you.
Since they are saying that they will send it back to Target if you don't make a payment in a week, if you really aren't allowed to make a payment at the store, you could just wait and let them send it back to Target, then make the payment.

Hehe, I like alias's advice. Just tell them you will wait the week so they can send it back to target and then you will stop by target and make the payment. Once he gets snotty with you tell him not to even bother waiting the week just go ahead and punish you right away by sending it back to target immediately. Basically he is just saying that because it is intended to mess with you. No matter what he says DO NOT give him any electronic access to your personal accounts.
I never did understand that threat anyway. The CA is like "hey if you don't pay this immediatly we are going to send it back to the OC." I care about this why?
