Each state regulator has the database of the loan companies licensed in their state. You will get the information from them. The contact numbers are given above of each state regulator. Call them for more information on the company you want to know about.

Does this list apply to Title loan companies as well?

PDA's are not illegal in PA at all. A lender simply cannot obtain a license from the state of PA. (I assume that your state does not want to encourage the use of PDA's), however if you go across state lines so to speak (using the internet) then if they are licensed in their home state and you signed an agreement with them, then unfortunately their states laws apply. What companies do you have loans with? Maybe I, or someone else on the forum can help you find out if your lenders are licensed in their home states.

kimbum:
cashnetusa is owned by Cash America, which is a publicly traded company. They are licensed anywhere that the permits payday loan licenses. You won't have much luck getting them to "forgive" the loan or issue any refunds. They are a fully compliant company. The good news is that they will be a lot more willing to work with you if you keep the lines of communication open with them. Take initiative and call them before your account gets any more delinquent (I don't know that it is delinquent, pardon me for assuming so if that is not the case). Companies like Cashnet USA will often waive fees and allow for small payment plans to help you out. Good Luck!!

I've tried to set up payments, but the payments they wanted me to pay are entirely too high. They are threatening to send it to a collection agency or send me to court are they able to do this? If they send me to court what could happen?

kimbum:
Cashnet can send your account to collections (likely) and depending on the total balance, they could take it to court. Are the payments they request so high that there is nowhere to cut your budget temporarily while you pay them off? You might consider a part time job for extra money or cut back on cable and cell phone (if you have those things, it can save you a lot of money), or you could take a chance and send them a payment you feel you can afford, they are under no obligation to accept your payment though.
MA and Payday Avenue
Can you tell me if PayDay Avenue is licensed in MA or if they follow the same criteria as above? I cannot figure out the state where they are from and MA has tight laws on the PDL.

MA prohibits payday loans. So, PayDay Avenue shouldn't be listed in your state. Visit http://www.mass.gov/ for more information on how to deal with such lenders not licensed in your state.
Cashcall?
You've addressed Cashnet, what about Cashcall. Payday loans are prohibited in PA by the way. Our local Cash America can no longer admistered loans or charge interest or fees on the money they've lent already.

I have a novel idea: How about not taking out a loan unless you understand what the terms are, and are commited to paying it back? The PDL company was there when you had an emergency and needed money, you should be grateful enough to pay them back, even if the payments are painful. And, don't tell me that they changed the terms after you took the loan--I've used PDL lenders numerous times, and they've never failed to live up to the terms.
