Close your bank account. They will never stop debiting money from your account. You are going to have to go to the bank and talk to a manager. You need to tell them that there are unauthorized debits coming out of your account. Be sure that your bank will not force it back open if a ach debit tries to hit your account. If the bank cannot close it for whatever reason, tell them you need to put a hard debit block on or put it on deposit only status.
Open a new account with a different bank (thats best). I'm sure once they can no longer get money out of your account, you will hear from them.
It looks like they are an illegal PDL company. You have WAY over paid them. The most IMPORTANT thing you need to do is CLOSE YOUR BANK ACCOUNT!!!

I got a payday loan from nevis marketing back in February of 2007. They took out approximately 4 times the amount of the original loan just from the "fees" every month from my debit account. I eventually had to close my account and open a new one to get them to stop. Now, almost two years later, I got a call today saying that they were filing some papers to send me to jail for stolen property/bad checks. I don't know if they can really do that? Has anyone else ever had this happen?

I am going through the same problems with this "Nevis Marketing", I have sent several e-mails to several online "Nevis Marketing" with no reply. My next step is to close my bank account in order for these people to contact me. I have been trying to locate them to pay off my payday loan with no luck.

I got payday loan from Nevis Marketing, over 2 years ago, and paid it back. Now, all of the sudden, i got a very threatening phone call from a lady who said she works there, who said we had a couple of hours to pay $700! It all sounded very shady and she threatened to prosecute and have me thrown in jail. Is there anyone who has actually been thrown in jail by these people? Or are they just really trying to scare people?

Does anyone know a phone number? I'm having the same problem. Getting payday loans was the dumbest thing I've ever done!!! Never again

I too, have placed a stop payment against their automatic withdrawals and filed a complaint with the FTC. According to my bank, any company that debits a consumer's account automatically is required to supply a valid contact information.

I think the key is to get enough people to file a complaint with the FTC and get these thieves under investigation! I have placed a stop payment on their withdrawals and I hope someone from Nevis is foolish enough to call me.

I, too, have been trying to locate Nevis Marketing. I took out a $300.00 loan in September and my account has been debited $60.00 twice a month. I called in January to get the payoff and reached a disconnect number. I immediately went to the bank and issued a stop payment on this debit. My bank advised me they would not be able to debit my account for at least six months. They also advised me that if the number Nevis listed on my bank statement is disconnected, then they are probably a fraud loan company. I work in the legal profession and was advised to put a stop payment on the account and wait for them to contact me. When they do, have them send something in writing with an address and phone number. Then, send me a money order or cashier's check. However, from what I have been investigating on this company, I doubt there will be a problem with them pursuing. I understand some people have received threatening phone calls. I was advised if I receive any, have them give me their contact information and advise them you will have your attorney phone them. I have learned my lesson with receiving a quick and easy loan over the net! Hope this info was helpful to anyone who has gotten burned by Nevis Marketing.

Tre, I did exactly what you did and placed a stop payment on the $90 bi-weekly automatic withdrawals for the "loan renewal fees." So what happened yesterday is that Nevis Marketing issued a paper check in the amount of $390, as though I had authorized it as a check by phone - which I DID NOT because I have yet to hear from them and because their numbers are disconnected, I couldn't get a hold of the either! This transaction caused three other transactions to bounce and my account has been overdrawn! On the paper check they sent through, there was a handwritten phone number on the front (still no mailing address to speak of), which was 866-321-6114, ext. 141. When you dial that number, you get a voice recording for Paradise Cash Advance and if you press "1" and then dial the extension, you are taken to the voice mail of a Nikki in Collections. If you choose option "4" to get to customer service, you get a recording asking for your name and social security number and you are supposed to tell them which company you have the loan with.

When I contacted my bank, I learned that I could not report the transaction as an electronic debit fraud, because they sent through a paper check and I could not report them for check fraud, because I had williningly given them my bank information in the past. So, in a sense, I am screwed and will not get my $390 back. All I can do from this point to prevent any further fraud is close my account and open a new one.

Now, for all of us who have been financially burned by Nevis, I strongly encourage all of you to register a complaint with the FTC, if you haven't already done so. I have already registered two complaints: one when I found out their phone and fax numbers were disconnected and today when they withdrew $390 without my permission. I don't know how many complaints it takes for the FTC to initiate an investigation, but for many of us, this is our only recourse.

Now here is my question for you Tre, since you work in the legal profession...if Nevis Marketing moved their operations and/or sold their assets to another company (like Paradise Cash Advance) is not Nevis or the new company bound by law to notify clients of a new address and other pertinent contact information??? How do they get away with this!?!?!?

I will encourage as many people as I can who have been shafted by this company to register a complaint with the FTC, but I also would like to see this company taken down by ONE HUGE CLASS ACTION SUIT!

I, too, stopped payment on their twice monthly withdrawals, and had the $390 taken out of my account with a paper check. The same number is on my check, and I also get no response from these people. I really don't want to close my account! Isn't the $390 supposed to be a final payoff? I can't believe they can get away with this. I am going to register another complaint, but I wonder if that is doing any good?

The numbers provided for the company do not exist. I had to close my account and hopefully they will not start calling me. They have received a lot of money out of my account. DO NOT GET A LOAN FROM THIS COMPANY - THEY ARE ILLEGAL.

I was able to contact someone today at 866-598-1100. Call them and complain like I did. They don't want to call it even they still want the principle after all these fees have been taken out. Everyone keep calling and complaining

Well I have news for everyone. I let my account over draft because I knew the fee will be taken out again by Nevis. I received an e-mail below and they gave me this number to call on the e-mail [1-866-722-2770] . I called to make payment arrangements and told them I had more than paid it in full. They told me because of the date of the loan I had paid in full. today I received an e-mail confirming that.

e-mail:

Hi Annabelle,

As we discussed on the phone, I am showing the remaining balance of your loan is set to be considered as paid in full, due to the duration of your loan.

Thanks,
John, Nevis Marketing

I have had the same problems with Nevis Marketing as everyone else. I eventually put a stop on my account because of the overdraft fees, thank heavens I did. I did call the number listed in Annablle's Post 1-866-722-2770 an obtained an address as I am filing this as part of my bankruptcy but I thought I would share it in case aomeone else might need it.

I am having the same issue with Nevis Marketing, they extracted 5 payment of 90.00 from my account for a total of 450.00 and my loan was for 300.00 but I still owe the loan amount because what they have took so far was just interest, and I file a compliant with the State attorney General Office also you can go to you State Banking Commission site to see if payday loans are allowed and check to see if Nevis Marketing has a licenses to do paydayloans in your state ,if not, file a consumer compliant against this company with your State Attorney General Office. Hope this helps

I got a 600.00 loan months ago from Paradise Cash Advance. I never got a letter or anything in the mail about how much interest I would be charged or anything. I was never able to view my account info to see what I owed. I was told I would need to call the company three days before the payment was due to schedule a payment. Every two weeks they take between 150-180 out of my account and whenever I call and leave a message and no one returns my calls. They have taken over a 1000.00 from me and are now telling me I owe 420.00 still because I never scheduled my payments. I told them I HAVE called over and over again and I never get through to anyone and no one ever calls me back when I leave a v.m. I have stopped all payments to them, I am trying to report them to the BBB. But I am having trouble locating an address. Can someone help me.
