Here is the recorded phone interview :
Pollyandsay on March 22nd 2006:
* 4 MB mp3 file - Low quality
* 30 MB mp3 file - Medium quality
71 MB wav file

initial message:
pollyandsay has given me strength along with the rest of the community to stand up against Heathmill threats.

She has been a ex client of heathmill/Cashtoday/Cash2day4u. After being harassed by them she has done a great deal of research on Heathmill.

I spoke to her yesterday on the phone and she has tentatively agreed for a recorded phone interview. Which would be put on the site.

Here are the questions I am thinking of asking her:
* Tell us about yourself so we can get to know you
* Tell us about when you first had a contact with cash2today
* Tell us how did the relationship go sour
* Tell us what you know about them
* Tell us what we can do to stop them from taking advantage of americans in financial trouble.

If you can think of more questions please post below this topic.

Once I get the recorded phone interview I will put the audio file over here.

ps. Sorry pollyandsay I was supposed to call you at 6:30 new york time, but I got got confused and called you on 6:30 california time. I got to your voice mail. Let me know when would be a good time to call you again.

I am currently gathering info to process a class action suit on cash today. I already have been contact with a lawyer and I have also contacted polly and emailed her so that I can share my info with her to build a better case.

Perhaps on the phone interview we can request that she mention something about legal proceddings against Cash Today. Perhaps mention an email or a specific post or blog. This way we can get others to come forward and present there case also. Then maybe we can start a blog or topic where people can post and share there case (of course not posting personal info, just a list events and there experience with the company) I already have been in contact with others on the forum and I know of others who have been victimized and are willing to present there case as well.

Just my idea.

Hello Polly,
Looks like you are an expert in this field now :) I was wondering if you can help me out as well. I have a few loans from internet lenders and they continue to call my references and call me threatening legal action. Is there anything I can do to resolve this? The amount is such a great amount I feel like they tacked on a extra few hundred dollars because I have not paid the loan off.
Thanks!

Have your bank send you a letter stating that you have to close your checking acct. At that point go in to the bank and close the checking acct and open a savings acct. Also, make arrangements to pay off the checking acct. The bank can make this a loan repayment plan. The key here is to talk to your bank and settle this.

I have gone through this. Payday loan company's claim that they can file charges, have you arrested for check fraud, breaking federal laws, etc. A loan is a loan is a loan. You cannot be arrested and put in jail for owing money. These companies scare people by using thier checking/savings accounts against them.

In my case, I tried debt consolidation with CCCS and they wanted $700, $800, $900 a month. I would not have borrowed money from payday loan places if I had that kind of extra money available. I filed Chapter 13. I can hold my head up now. I have settled with all my creditors (including the payday loan companies). I have a low monthly payment and can have a life again. Everyone, has to decide what is best for them in matters of handling debt.

Polly I apprieciate how you have stood up for yourself. I too have had to file complaints against two of the payday loan places I owed money to. I have contacted the Atty General's offices in FL, and WY, the FCC, and the BBB. To everyone who reads this. DO NOT BE AFRAID OF PAYDAY LOAN THREATS. THESE ARE INTIMIDATION TACTICS. FIND OUT WHAT YOUR RIGHTS ARE. TALK TO YOUR BANKS AND ASK THEM TO ASSIST YOU. USE THE INTERNET TO FIND OUT ABOUT THESE PLACES IF YOU ARE BEING HARASSED. FILE COMPLAINTS WITH THE ATTY GENERAL OFFICE IN THE STATE THE PAY DAY LOAN HAS A ADDRESS IN. ALSO, FILE WITH THE FCC AND THE BBB.

Reflect on what got you in the situation you are in and how to move forward wiser and with a smile on your face. Poor spending habits and lack of a financial plan came to the fore when I had to have two surgeries in 6 mos and 15 weeks out of work on disability. I learned FIRST THINGS FIRST. Pay bills on time and save for a rainy day. I am rebuilding my financial life and I have resolved to never go down this road again.

Finally, I hope that at the least these payday loan places can be tighly regulated in the United States. I wish Polly well in her quest to take on these places and I hope she gets well financially.

Hey if you register, you can send me a private message and I will be happy to help you. I can't communicate with you privately, unless you register. When you pm me, first thing I need to know is your state of residence, and the companies that you owe too. Chances are I already have a letter to use as a reference.

Hey that will be my interview. I am so excited that I can not wait. I can not wait to tell everyone the bad experience I had with this company.

I also would like to update everyone on the class action suit I got a call today from the state of Nevada and I gotta tell you it looks good so far. I have send the original complaint to the consumer protection of nevada and then forwarded my case to the State of Nevada's Financial Institution. They told me that they are already aware of this compnay and the process will move along.

They will first submit the case to the commissioner of Nevada then they will contact CTL and tell them that they have my case on file and not to contact me anymore and they will also present my case to the attorney general.

I have a call into the attorney letting him know about the updates and request that he subpona the complaints that the state of Nevada have already on file for CTS.

More updates to come.

I had a collection company connected with a payday loan place call and threaten jail and being arrested if I did not pay immediately. Scared me so bad I gave them my debit card and actually paid $400 more than I owed. Thus, my house payment did not get paid that month! It is hard to be down and out and have agencies treat you like dirt (oh, and I had been making payments ... small ones, but payments).

I would like to add that the State of Michigan is investigating all of these fraudulent companies according to the local papers. I was prey to about 5 of them, though I had them all paid off and cannot even locate a few more that are still charging me. After exhausting my family and friends for borrowing funds, I turned to these places and they were good about getting you the money, but their disclosures and sales techniques are shady at best. I have constantly had to run to the store to fax some form or another to keep them from taking the entire balance and even when I was able to beat their timeline, they claim that because they use eletronic fax machines, they get backlogged and did not receive the fax before closing time.

Jim, have listen to the audio posted at the first page of this thread? Polly has recorded her interview with the site admin regarding fraudulent practices of these companies. You can also share your story and undergo a telephonic interview like Polly. Just let us know if you need any more information. Also don't forget to mention the links to those newspapers here in this forum.

I was beginning to think I was the rare one who recieved a shafting from a payday firm. I had the dis-pleasure of dealing with a company called Route 66 funding and let me tell you...If i was within a reasonable distance I would personally go to the company and %#$%*^$ the %*&^*%$ out each nad every one in that place. My situation is that They incorectlly documented my bank information and charged me well over the amount agreed upon. The loan was originally for 200.00 with a 79.00 finance charge which I only agreed to because it was either do it or lose my apartment. These jerks had the nerve to tell me that since the information was wrong that they would extent it 2 weeks. I figured ok if there is no additional charge I'd have to deal with it. They said that i would not be charged and that it would be no problem. RIGHT!!!! These people ended up taking money on a day that it was not scheduled to come out and then had the nerve to charge an additional 79.00 and on top of that they had the nerve to attempt to play a recording of me agreeing to it. I figured this is too much. They not only have the worst personalities but also have the audasity to talk &*%$ about how there is nothing i can do. After me giving my information to 3 separate individuals ( yes they documented it incorrectly 3 times) I had a total due of 467.00 for a 200.00 loan. I have submitted a fraudulent debit charge against one of the 79.00 payments but have recieved no response back from my bank yet. If there is anyone who is taking up the sword against these underhanded companies PLEASE COUNT ME IN!!! I vow to get some sort of resolotion against this company if it's the last thing i do.

The phone number I have for Route 66 funding is 1-877-564-7738. I have found one address on other threads here. It is Route 66 Funding, 46 State Street, 3rd floor, Albany, NY 12207. However the person giving it was unsure if they were given the correct address. My husband and I have been drowning in debt from the PDLs for about 3 months now. We closed our bank account last week and I faxed almost all of the companies a letter with our attorney's info on it. Our fees are due to come out on Wed, 7/5/06. We will see how haywire everything gets by the end of the week when the debits don't go through.

I used to work at Heathmill on all campaigns including Cash Today and GFS and the real criminal mastermind was Aaron Gershfield. All the team leaders and managers were afraid of getting fired by him if they didn't collect enough money. We had daily targets to meet and it didn't matter how much custoemr paid or anything Only how much money did you collect. The more you got, the more commission you made. It was very simple.

thread closed.
