First off I would like to thank everyone on the crew for this wonderful website and I don't know what I would of done without it!!!!

Well, back in March or April I was looking around the internet trying to find a way to get out of my mess. Over the past three years I managed to rack up 12 to 14 storefront pdl's (I guess I don't want to admit in my head how many I had) and did not know what to do. I had many nights where I couldn't sleep trying to figure out how I can get out of this. Every day of the week I almost drove to one store to pay off the other. I was sick of tired of my whole paycheck and gas be gone within two days and still have many pdl's to pay. Sure there were a few nights the voices in my head would say end it and your life insurance would cover everything for my family but I'm too big of a wimp and could and NEVER would do it. I would get mad at myself for thinking those thoughts in my head. Then I did a google search for debt conolidation and found this wonderful site. I read many things about Town and Country and in April I signed up with them. Now I'm in the month of November and have probably half of my pdl's paid off. When I signed up with T&C I put everything I had in collections and I have 10 more months until I am totally debt free (except car and a low student loan). You may not see me post much around here but if someone has trouble in the State of Ohio I'm there giving out advice if I can.

I think I am on the downhill slope of things now. I do not have any stores or collection agencies calling me anymore. I'm not afraid to pick up the phone when it rings worrying who this may be. If its a collection agency I sort of look foward to it. I have learned so much from this site, I think they hate talking to me now. But every month now I should have one or two pdl's paid off and I can not wait until I have 0 left. One thigns I wished I learned earlier was the hard block with my bank as all these pdl's racked up a $1400 bill with my bank. Sigh.

But again I would like to thank everyone here who has helped me over the past few months. I couldn't done it without you all.

Ryan, you have been AWSOME! You have helped me more than you will ever know. I'm very happy for you and I second everything you have mentioned about this site and all the wonderful people who reach out to help each other everyday! You are always willing to answer my crazy questions, I can't thank you enough!! I too have have all those thoughts and sleepless nights, as I'm sure we all have. But reading success stories like yours helps all know that its not the end of the world, its tuff but if we stick together we will make it through it!

Folks seriously if you are in OHIO, Ryan is your man!

Ryan ROCKS!!!

Awww thanks.

I am glad now when I drive past a Checksmart or any other store I fell happy knowing I'm not waiting in their line. One day I would love to pass out flyers out on Checksmart sidewalk but I will keep my thoughts about that company to myself.

I didn't get myself in the mess overnight and it will take time. I hate every month getting a money order for T&C around $900 bucks but I think I learned a valuable and expensive lesson.

I understand just what you mean!!! I know also its not the PDL places fault that I did this, its my fault. But, I wish I would have found this site before I got into all this trouble! But I'm sure everyone wishes that:) But I think that some how this will make me a stronger person in the end!

ryan, thanks for sharing your story. And, I have to agree with lren. You have wonderful knowledge for others on here! You are a huge help to people! I know it sucks "gaining knowledge" by making these mistakes and living the nightmare life! But you are now able (and you do!) to help so many people. ryan, I'm glad you're here. And I'm glad things are looking up for you. You only deserve good things, my friend.

Yea for you Ryan!! It is so good to hear success stories of how people were helped here!! You are right-it can be done with hard work and time. And the most important thing you said, was that you learned a lesson!!

I kept getting in and out of debt from my late twenties and on, and couldn't figure out why! I learned that I need to change some of my priorities, etc. Granted there were times when I had to use a loan or cc to eat and feed the kids, etc., but alot was my ignorance of getttng loans to pay off loans and staying in that cycle!! You can share with others your hope and experiences now!!..karen :D

This board has been alot of help to me as well. I've learned alot by reading how to take care of creditors and not to let the creditors make you feel like trash. I don't have any bill collectors for credit cards calling, but I have several medical collections for my son. This board has helped me deal with alot of them, and I'm sure Ill be asking for more advice in the future.
