Please help me someone. For some reason here in Florida all the laws have changed pertaining to payday loans. I have a 1,050.00 debt with Cashnet with 2 more extensions, but now they say that they will take all on August 8th because of some new law in effect since July 29. I begged them to give me two more weeks, but they said no and there is nothing I can do about it. Now the ACH will go through and can't pay my rent. What can I do, who can I see? I am suicidal. Can't sleep or eat or be at ease with this problem.

I also have Cash America but they gave me more time. Please help me.

Was this law effective when you acquired this loan? If it wasn't, then I don't see how they can do that to you. Refer to your contract, and email them the part and the date that says you have 2 more extensions, if they refuse to acknowledge it and adhere to it, then I would contact whoever governs CSO's and file a complaint. Further more, I would contact your Attorney General's office and let them know what they are trying to do to you, and explain the hardship it's going to place on you. :?

Thanks for your reply; I took the loan out before the new law. I am going to take your advice and contact the Attorney General's Office since I already spoke to them and they absolutely refused to help me. Hopefully something can be done before Friday. I'll let you know, thanks.

Im in the same position with them here in fl. I tried to work with them with no sucess. They wanted me to pay the loan in full for 669.00 on tue. aug 5th. Told 'em i could not afford this and that i went into this loan thinking i had extra time to pay if i were to utilize all my extensions

Stick in there Soky, my loan is due to pay in full on Aug.5th but i did get them to extend to my next payday which is Aug.19. I tried to get longer but they would not allow it. I still won't be able to pay 669.00 all at once.So i have been corresponding with them and letting them no that if they can't work with me, i can't work with them. Please don't be suicidal! It is NOT WORTH IT! I was going to pay them in full by sept 2nd anyway, that would have exhausted all of my extensions by then. But of course they don't want to hear That. So if they dont comply, Im simply going to close my account out, open a new one and send them a money order in the mail to Pay the debt in full. I don't know what else to do? But, i do know one thing, You hang in there, someone here will be able to help you, ok.

Thanks so much...I never thought that there were so many of us out there. I thought I was the only one in Florida with this problem. It even embarrasses me at work when on payday my co-workers go out to lunch and I plea that I'm full, not hungry, and all the time I am famished but can't eat cause I owe my soul to the company store. Can hardly wait to get out of this situation and sleep a little. I am hooked on sleeping aids. Thanks so much you guys, for sharing your stories with me.

Can you guys close your bank accounts, revoke ACH authorizations, make sure that your account won't be forced back open, and then make money order payments to CashNet USA?

http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/close-account.html

Obviously, they want to take all of the money now, but if you make regular payments to them, it's not too likely that they would decide to sue you. You would need to also revoke any wage assignments that you signed and give a copy to your employer.

Well, I tell you, besides this company I had two others, a total of four actually. My bank gave me a loan to get rid of two of them, advising me not to get into this type of transaction again. Now I am too embarrassed to tell them that I have cashnet. How stupid of me, right? So as far as closing account and such, I think I will call them tomorrow. Man, I cringe at the thought, but there's no other way out, right? I asked them about making payment plans, but they told me that the new "law" established here in Florida prohibited them from extending the loans anymore. That they had to get their money and from now on the only loans would be up to 500 dollars. Do you know anything about this law or where can I get this information? Because its not only Cashnet, all the loan companies are doing the same. Oh, and Cash America bought out Cashnet, so now I have two loans in the same company!!

I actually plan on closing my bank account and revoking wage assignments and ach debits before they try and debit my account on the 19th. I will then Pay them in full, like i have intended all along. Im going to pay them in full by money order on the date that i would have had to by my old contract before this "new" law went into effect. If they can't wait another month, I don't know what to tell 'em. Because of this website and the insight that it has provided I have drafted my revocation letters and all that stuff, Im certainly ready to get back in control! I think i am ready for the fight, because where i come from that is all i know how to do. I will not be pushed around by these people, and YOU all have to stand up for yourselves too! This site is ready to help you in the fight, you are not alone! And I tell you, If they start with that stuff of calling and threating me or my references, We certainly know where to tell 'em to go and how to get there fast! MY POINT IS, do not be afraid, this is only a storm i am quite sure everyone has been through worst weather. We will be alright!

You guys, if you can possibly wait until Mon. when Goudah will be back she can give you the straight and legal facts on how to deal with this situation, I honestly believe she would be your best resource in this community for this particular situation. Just hang in there for now, a person can only do what they can do. :?

I took a loan out with cashnetusa, I was living with Wisconsin at the time. I moved to Illinois and I hadn't updated my information with them at first. When I finally updated to my Illinois address they told me I had to pay in full my next pay date and that I wasn't able to use my final two extenstions I had left. I thought that was totally bogus so I put a block on my account because I could not pay the complete $760 at once. The did call me constantly at work and my cell phone, but once they agreed upon a monthly payment amount through my debt management company they stopped calling me.

I'm also a victim of the "New law" in Florida. I took out a 750 dollar loan from CashNetUSA, and was granted 4 extentions. it's on my signed contract, which I have a copy of. Two days before my first extention, they told me a new law had been passed THAT DAY, and that i must pay the loan in full in two days. When I told them we would not have the money by then, they made arrangements with me to pay it back 200 dollars every two weeks. two days later, they tried to take out every sent of the loan, plus the fee. My bank returned it as an insufficient fund transaction, and will do so again, as i believe they will try again on my next payday. I check the contract in their system, and it has been altered to reflect their new policy, yet my digital signature is on the altered contract. This HAS to be illegal, and if they want their money, they'd better stop playing the fool, and adhere to our agreement, or they will not get one red cent from me. i don't care how many overdraft fees I have to pay!

Cash Net USA is doing what they legally must do.

Florida has put a stop the the PDL masquarading as a CSO. Now, Cash Net USA must start following the pdl laws. They were told to do so immediatly.

It looks like they were told that they would get into trouble if they didn't start following the pdl laws. That is why everything changed and the loans are due in full. If they were to continue as the original contract stated, the loan would be breaking the laws, and the company could get into some serious trouble. They are doing what they have been told to do to comply with the law.

I am in Maryland and have an outstanding loan with CashNet... I ran out of extensions and Called them and they allowed me to break it into 2 payments but I still had to pay them in full. Also, I don't think they can demand all of the money if the law was not in effect when the loan originated. I hope this helps!

Alright guys, now my account is in default because they went in to collect on the due date and found a block on my account. I have not received any communication from the yet, but I checked my account with them and it says Default.
Can you tell me what happens now, because I am surprised that they have not contacted me yet. If they try to go in again, they're going to find that account is still blocked. I sent them an email requesting a payment plan. Any ideas?

They tried to debit my blocked account 3 times after I revoked authorization. The last time they tried it I told them if they did it again I was going to file a complaint. I would call them and see what you can work out, several memeber on this board have found them easy to deal with.

They took away my extensions when I updated my contact info from Wisconsin to Illinois. I didn't think that was right because I started the loan in Wisconsin so they shouldn't have made any changes until my loan was completed. That was the only reason I defaulted because they wanted the payment in full.
