Since diagnosed with a rare cancer, I have had to take out some installment loans. I have never missed a payment and have already paid what I borrowed. I am in Florida and just learned that I may not be liable to continue to pay these companies. Is this true? PLEASE tell me this is true!! All this stress is making me even more sick.

Best choice 123: borrowed: $2000 paid to date: $5566.22 ; $506 biweekly until 2/2018
Radiant Cash: borrowed: $1100 paid to date: $2000; $217 biweekly until 12/2017
Loans@last: borrowed: $1000 paid to date: $1500; $262 biweekly until 5/2018

Congo mate. I would say there's no need to drag on this issue.
In future stay away from these tribal loans, they are illegal.
Your primary concern should now be to stay healthy and fight this tough illness you've got inside you!
If you still need money for your treatments, you can take out a HELOC, or a home equity loan. But be cautious with these loans. Your home is involved in this. So take help of a financial adviser.
All the best with your life!! I know you are lot tougher than this Cancer thing!!!

Best Choice 123 is not a legal payday lender. Revoke your ACH authorization and ask for a refund. Don't pay an extra penny.

radiant cash, best choice 123, Maxlend, loans[at]last, ladder credit (Miinan) I found that they are indeed all tribal companies. I already paid the principal on all of these plus thousands more due to interest. Does this really mean I can stop paying them??? That would be amazing since I’m drowning in medical bills.

Yes. You can stop paying them. Rather, you should stop paying them. You can ask for a refund in writing.

Hey Tina,
Yes, I also agree with Patricia. since you have paid the principal amount , you can stop paying more, it's better if you can revoke ACH authorization.

Oh thank you so much! I have sent them all emails using the letter template and asked for refunds over the principal amount I paid. Although it would be nice and much needed to receive the thousands I paid, I’m happy just no longer having to pay anymore!

MaxLend rep called harassing me today after requesting in writing for them to email all communication.

I could really use the refund in overcharges I paid..totaling over $3000. Is there a sample letter I can send to the companies? Also, on the one tribal loan I am close to paying off the principal, can I pay back what I can afford?

Thank you everyone!

I heard back from BestChoice123 and my balance now shows PAID IN FULL which is a HUGE relief!! Now should I pursue what I paid over the principle which is over $3000?! I could really use that refund but don’t want to push the issue and have them reverse their offer. I am SO thankful for all of your help!!!

Thank you Phil....unfortunately I lost over $25,000 in my divorce 6 years ago and my ex already took out a HELOC on the house. So I am fighting my way through all of this debt. I am a NP and make over $120K/year salary, but it all goes out to student loans, credit cards I had to live off of, and medical bills. Just trying to avoid bankruptcy. I am a stubborn girl and will get through all of it though.
