Does anyone have a current e-mail address for CPD?? I believe I saw that William Reed is the contact person there. I have called and faxed the appropriate letter of revocation but no reply from them.

I tried that email several times and it just keeps coming back

jlw. . you are correct. I tried sending an email through to that address as well and it was returned as underliverable. I know in the spring, when I was dealing with them, that is the address from which their communications came, and I sent mine to that address as well without a problem. You could try using this phone number to try and make a connection 1-866-645-1661. You could also try this fax number if you don't want to speak with them directly. 1-866-645-1662. I know that anyaroberts has indicated that have done a "bug out" but I don't have a clue as to where their new "home" could be. Perhaps the ACH department at your bank could give you a contact? Good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks anyarobert. I know that when I was having a dialogue with them the emails went back and forth with the above email address. But, it would appear that they are trying to be even more illusive now. I can only hope that is a sign of better (for us) and worse (for them) things to come! I would use the phone and fax number for contact, before they change that as well.

I have sent the ACH revocation and C & D letters and they have acknowledged that they received them. I have a payment due on July 31st. Do you think they will still try to debit my account. I haven't been able to close it yet because I have a direct deposit coming in on the 1st. Plus my bank (Fifth Third) has no clue what to do. They say that they can't do a "deposit only" or stop the ACH debit for this or any other PDL company. "Not possible" they say. I even spoke to the branch manager. Frustrating.

They should be able to close the account with a "hard block" full balance hold. Then when the deposit comes in they can release the hold on the deposit, which will make it available, while still keeping the ACH items on hold. Then you can transfer the deposit and move the funds and have them immediatly close the account.

i would go further,i would go in person if you haven't and speak
to the manager,if they still refuse. i would talk to your employer
and get a live check for a couple of weeks then get a new account at a different bank altogether.

I just tried to talk to someone at mycashnow about a payday loan I thought had been paid back in 2006, was NOT wanting a loan just to see if they got money I paid that I'm guessing someone took an ran off with. Anyway, all they said was we are not able to process a loan and I can not speak with you anyone about this account. My goodness, how am I suppose to find out if I still owe them money?

WOW! I also just tried to log into the website and it won't let me. What do you suppose is going on?? I started adding up all the interest charges that I have paid to them since 2004. I am SICK!! It has been thousands of $$$. I told William Reed that in another fax that I sent him yesterday (30th). I told him that I refuse to give him anymore money even on my principle (I owe another $400.00) because I have SO overpaid their illegal company. SOOO UH OH what now???

Once I started a dialogue with CPD they blocked me from logging into the website. Once it was settled, I was access again. . . .only to find out that they were offering me more money! As for the ACH revocation and the fact that the bank won't hard block the account, that is a concern to me. They have acknowledged receipt of your C and D and they are to debit your account today. Hopefully they will honor your request but if the account is still available to them, they may debit it now that they are aware that the money source is going to be off limits to them. I guess you wait for the response to your latest communication. It's all a waiting game when dealing with PDLs

A couple years ago I had a loan with them. I tried to log in and set up my payment but was unable to. I called and got the same response as above. I told them I already had a loan and needed to pay it off.

I found the CPD number and spoke with someone who told me my account was marked paid in full and closed. I insisted I owed them money and they said not to worry about it. It was all very strange. I marked it up to as a blessing from The Lord.

Thanks llw1995! This stuff is making me crazy!! Wow did I learn a lesson. The worst thing is....it has thrown our budget off for the last few months and my husband is mad that we are so broke. He doesn't know about the PDLs!! Also I am a Real Estate Agent...so business is lousy.

justme08,
Maybe the same thing will happen to me. I guess I sould feel guilty about not wanting to pay the balance of my loan but like I said when I added up (only a portion) all the interest I have paid them I don't feel as bad.

Everyone suffers as a result of these slugs. I know that I have put all my credit cards into a dmp and I am glad that I did. I had been thinking about it anyway, but the PDLs just pushed me into a little quicker. Other creditors have been very good at helping me as well, with rewriting or giving extensions. I am a Teaching Assistant so the summer is difficult for me financially as well. I do still Nanny (limited) in the summer so that does help a bit but I am still digging my way out of the hole I dug when getting involved in this "dark" world. I'm making headway, but I'm far from living on easy street. Chin up. Things will get better.

CPD and MyCashNow are very deceptive. Your best bet is to talk to then in person and request any agreement via email. I will tell you they like to settle for the principal amount borrowed if you push them hard enough. If they have marked your account "PIF" out of nowhere. Get a PIF letter emailed and RUUUUUuuuuuun!!!

Can anyone give me some advice on what MCN/CPD is up to? Still no word from them and I am still locked out of my online account. As I stated before my account was not debited on July 31st.

How I did it was simple. I sent all my letters and blocked everything I possibly could. Then I waited untill I received notification from them via email. I did, then fired of the letters again. After about 3-5 weeks I gave them a call. Within that time I had been sending my letters weekly to CPD/PayDayMax. I know they received them because I was instanly blocked from the online account access. So after about 5 weeks, I called and spoke with a CS rep at PDM. She told me my account was marked paid in full about a month ago..LOL! SUCCESS :D I requested a "PIF" letter and closed the chapter!!

I will tell you that if they marked your account paid in full, you will get loan promo emails. This is a sure sign they are up to something. So I would call at that point. Good Luck!
