I want to settle with overpaid PDLs. Closed Bank Account!!

member profile picture

Hello All,

I have 11 payday loans, and I just closed my bank account. I am in state of VA and they are all internet based. I am paying rollover fees and have overpaid at least 5 of these loans already. Can anyone help.

I was looking into going with PDL Assistance settlement company. Are they any good?? Been doing research and have not found much on them. Spoke with them and they seem real "Anti-Payday loan". So what do you suggest?

Got myself into a mess with 11 loans. Afraid they are too much for me to try and settle with myself. Any help wpuld be appreciated.

I had a loan with 3bpaydayloan and overpaid $471.25. They did not respond to my cease and desist letters at all. I reported them to the BBB and AG and they never responded to them either; however about two weeks after I reported them I got an email saying they would refund the entire amount and I would be marked paid in full.

Have you reported them yet?

OK I been on phone all morning with these three:

3B payday: they agreed to stop debiting my account and I send in my final payment of 97.50 by mail :P

Little Loan Shop: They are bogus for that 10 installment plan. Settled for $180 with mail in payments of $90 starting end of month and 1 in June :o

PayDayMax: Agreed to settle for principle balance owed of $270. I send in Moneygram as I did before receipt tracking :P

I told them all to stop debiting my account, so far they have complied so far and was very polite.

Now the question is what do I do about the other companies like AIP, World Wide Cash, MTE? I heard these guys are rough to deal with. I already filed a complaint aginst AIP due to neglect of phone calls and emails. I have overpaid all three of these companies. Should I file with BBB and let them handle it. Most likely most of them will not respond. The loans will default this friday, so I am expecting calls mid next week from all of my PDLs I have not settled with. I am doing my reserach on the VA state laws. I see it is illegal to renew loans in my state, bt what about licensing of these companies? What can I do next. I will keep calling in hopes of settlment. I have been blessed so far, but I have other bills to pay as well.

Guest....you overpaid 3b paydayloans by $165 why are you sending them another $97. If they are illegal in your state you owe them nothing more and they owe you a refund.

AIP sent me a refund and World Wide Cash sent me a "PIF" cause they didn't like me filing complaints. If these companies are illegl to lend to you and you have overpaid on the principle; do not send them anymore monies....

OK, So I thought about these settlement offers and I am not sending jack to any of them  I reveiwed my state laws and rollovers of any kinds are prohibited in VA. Also they can only charge $15 on every &100 dollar loan. So that mean I got some money coming to me hopefully. I spoke with AIP and they said the best they can do is settle at $200 next payday. I said Unacceptable. I paid $534 already in rollover fees which are illegal and they are not licensed. Same with WWC they said they need for me to default and such. I already closed bank accounts and froze everything. :D

I faxed a settlment letter to WWC,PDM/Credit Protection Services, 3B PayDay loans/3B Financial. I tried to fax to AIP but they keep changing fax numbers on me. Anyone got that new fax number to AIP?

I need the fax number to Little Loan Shop as well. I have overpaid bigtime with them!

Here is the list again:

365fastcash: $200 paid 148
usfastcash: $300 paid 90
mte financial(quickest cash advance): $300 paid 270
sonic cash: $400 paid 0
World wide cash: $200 paid 534
Cash Relief Unlimited: $200 paid 534
3B payday loans: $300 paid 465
Amerlioan: $350 paid 0
Litte Loan Shop: $300 paid 540
Cash Transfer: $300 paid 0
Pay Day Max: $420 paid 570

USFastCash and MTE (Quickest Cash Advance) are the same company (MTE). Not licensed/legal to lend anywhere in the United States. AIP is a "verbal agreement". Illegal as all hell. They usually respond well with just a BBB complaint filed. They refunded me my overpayment just with my BBB complaint. The MTE related pdls will be a total **** to deal with. Just warning you ahead of time. Cash Transfer will throw a wage assignment at your employer faster than you can blink your eyes. You need to send them a letter revoking any wage assignments signed, keep a copy, give a copy to your HR/Payroll person. They do NOT have to honor this wage assignment. These wage assignments are totally voluntary and can be revoked at any time. Any one of your pdls that are not licensed in your state, you owe the principle amount of the loan only. No fees. No nothing. Just the amount they deposited into your bank. Okay? If they ask for more than that, tell them to "go blow". File with the BBB, the FTC, and your state AG on any one of the pdls that are not licensed in your state. File all complaints. The BBB and your state AG will contact the companies on your behalf.

It's me above-GUEST-
If the payday lenders are licensed, but not my state. Do my State Laws superceed there contract?

Also if they are not licensed at all, am I obligated to repay them back? I have filled BBB complaints on 6 of them already.
