I want to settle with overpaid PDLs. Closed Bank Account!!

member profile picture

Hello All,

I have 11 payday loans, and I just closed my bank account. I am in state of VA and they are all internet based. I am paying rollover fees and have overpaid at least 5 of these loans already. Can anyone help.

I was looking into going with PDL Assistance settlement company. Are they any good?? Been doing research and have not found much on them. Spoke with them and they seem real "Anti-Payday loan". So what do you suggest?

Got myself into a mess with 11 loans. Afraid they are too much for me to try and settle with myself. Any help wpuld be appreciated.

Thanks!! Best of Luck!!

Hello All,

So what is the deal with PayDayMax d/b/a Credit Protection Depot not contacting you after you put the fire on them with all the complaints. All I get is new loan offers and thank you for being a valued customer via email. Does this mean my loan is paid in full? If you have any experience with them a lil advice would be helpful on how to proceed. Should I call and demand a PIF in writing or just let it go? Anyone have their email address?

Also MTE is the same way, no response after I filed complaints. I am not complaining about the silence, but I like to see a PIF in writing from these 2 since I overpaid.

Ok I called PayDayMax. They marked my account "PIF" 2 months ago :D :D I will take it. Not holding breath on that refund. :P I have gotten $604 back already from 2 other PDLs so I am happy :P . I sent MTE my final email urging them to reply within 72 hrs or I will consider this matter closed. THANKS ALL!

what that mean 100 per 15$? is that per every 2 weeks or year?

because i have 850 in loan and they charged me 160 every 3 weeks, it being 4 payment already. and another loan of 600 they charged me 720 in 2 weeks and i had to renew it agaian and again because don have money to pay my bill. so it is legal for them to charge 15 for every 100 every 2 weeks???

Klin it depends on your PayDay Loan laws in your state. Now $160 every 3 weeks sounds ridiculous and ILLEGAL! Also you stated $720 every 2 weeks..YIKES! Please tell me what PDL company you are with for these 2, and what state you are in.

Virginia Internet payday lenders are not legal, either because of restrictive laws, or because the state does not license companies not located in that state, but requires a state issued license to lend. If you need further assistance on what to do, start a new thread and someone will be around to help you. It gets pretty confusing when everyone has to bounce back and forth between threads, and it's a lot easier to follow if you place all your information in one place. I posted the laws in the other topic. :)
