Real quick these are the states that make it illegal for payday loans, if I missed a state someone reply with the state I missed.

Maine State Information

Vermont State Information

Massachusetts State Information
Legal Status: Prohibited

Connecticut State Information
Legal Status: Prohibited

New Jersey State Information
Legal Status: Prohibited

Legal Status: Prohibited

New York State Information
Legal Status: Prohibited

Pennsylvania State Information
Legal Status: Prohibited

North Carolina State Information
Legal Status: Prohibited

Georgia State Information
Legal Status: Prohibited

West Virginia State Information
Legal Status: Prohibited


If someone took a payday loan out connecticut are they still responsable to pay it back if it's not legal in the state of ct

In Connecticut internet payday lenders are not legal, either because of restrictive laws, or because the state does not license companies not located in that state, but requires a state issued license to lend.

Ok, so Storefronts are Legal, we got that... what about Internet? Some people have said that they have to be Licensed in the state of FL to do business with people in FL.. others say that they don't. Just looking for any bit of clarification... does anyone have any more up to date info for the State of Florida?

What if you live in a state that you found out payday loans are illegal and you are going to try to get help with repaying them can you use that as leverage against them its not that i dont want to pay my debt it is just that it is out of control

look at all u ppl...taking out a loan and looking for a loop hole not to pay it back--omg! SAD!!!!!!!!!!! if u cant afford not 2 pay the loan back then dont take the loan out!!!! no wonders americas in debt, ppl like u guys!!---IF U TAKE THE MONEY OUT.....PAY---IT---BACK!!!!! IT SEEMS TO ME LIKE U PPL NEVER HAD ANY INTENSION OF PAYING THIS BACK...THATS REALLY SAD---SAD
