Updated February 18, 2004:
The FCC announced today that it has received nearly 10,000 complaints since the Do Not Call Registry came into effect October 1, 2003. The FCC has also issued eight citations for Do Not Call Registry violations.

I have been called over and over again by a Stephanie Jones (1-877-337-3099) True Logic Financial, Colorado. I have gone to their site and complained about this person calling me for the past 2-3 weeks @7pm or 8pm -- I let the answering machine take it but if I answer it is a recording and a series of ref. numbers...no way to talk to her. I have also noted that I am on the Do Not Call List thru the FCC and that I intend to followup on this with them. Anne Vogler

They made the mistake of calling me as well. I immediately called ATT and asked if they had any delinquent bills for me and they denied it, and my only account with them was last year and I closed it at the end of my contract. Bay Area Credit said it was delinquent from August 17th, which coincidentally is the same date that I closed my account. I called Bay Area back and the guy wanted me to "settle the debt" over the phone by giving him my bank account information. Talk about a scam! So I told him to mail me an invoice or other proof of the debt so I could see it for myself. He refused to do so. What kind of messed up craziness is that? I checked my credit report and there is nothing negative on there, so now I amuse myself by calling their number several times a day and begging whoever answers the phone to please give me their bank account information! Ha! Why not? That's what they did to me. Morons.
