Prize of $100 for our community review in local newspaper

I'm curious about this cash prize. Exactly what do I have to explain to the newspaper so they review the community. Do they need to publicize the forums?

Hi Mike

You might be having an idea about the different problems faced by the community members over here. Every day, some type of unfair collection is being reported or some creditors are trying to scam people. Altogether, these activities are disturbing the normal lifestyle of the people.

You need to frame a summary of these activities and keep it in front of the newspaper agency. Tell them that this forum is a platform where they can interact with these puzzled consumers and get acquainted to their experiences. Your summary might tempt them to review this community and publish it in their newspaper. Mike, once you have done this, you will be rewarded for your noble efforts towards the community and introducing it to a bigger area.

Hope you will take this sweet initiative. :D

So after we get an article published, what happens then? Do we send somebody here a copy of the newspaper, or a link to an article online? How does that work? I am determined to do this, so please let me know :lol:

It's good to see that you are trying hard to popularize our community. Once your local news paper reviews this place or publish article on debt consolidation Care community, as you said, contact Vikas or myself mentioning the link to that online resource or whatever information you have.

I think someone from the editorial section of the newspaper or magazine company has to publish about this community. Then only, there is a charm to be rewarded.

Okay folks I live in Madill, ok. I am in the boonies...we only get a weekly paper...lol...but, I will try to contact them. However, my brother-in-law has worked for The Dallas Morning News for over 30 yrs. He is on vacation now...but, keep your fingers crossed....he kknows a lot of people in all the depts. so I will try with him as soon as I can.

d2dtk, it will be really good if you can get your local newspaper write an article about this community. We all here are doing something good and we should be given every opportunity to get identified. Of course, you can use the reward money for your hard work done :) Let us know how it shapes up.

Wow, this is something that I need to check into. I will start e-mailing my local papers over the next couple of weeks. Do the reviews get posted in the forums some where? I think if would be cool if they were published all together somewhere. Just an idea :)

There seems to be some confusion in general.... SO I'd like to clear things up. My local newspaper, and I'm sure most, allows an individual to submit an article if they find it good. So the question is, can we do it or do we HAVE to get someone from the newspaper to write a review on the community? I think I'd do fine writing a review, especially since I've gotten to know the community well.

I'd like to tell people about this community as well as mention how the laws just changed. We don't have any storefront pdls in this community, but I can see people having other debt problems, and this is a great community.

Is this applicable for non US states? More, Can it be in other language but a popular newspaper?

what a good insentive plan! I know that the area we live in is really struggling. Im going to send a email today about the community. The only thing is alot of people that live around here are elderly so im not sure how tech savy they are, Alot of them dont even know what the internet is!

I dont know if this promotion is still running or not, but im going to send them a email either way.

Is this an ongoing effort to publicize the community?

I live in a small urban area & the next city over has a PDL store front on every 3rd corner. Although the store fronts abide by the laws (have restrictions) I want everyone to be informed when searching for alternatives to mind the gap- IPDL (for most of them) aren't legal(no restrictions) & not even in our country as far as the public is concerned & they continually pay them.

Being that my husband is a great example of a victim to IPDL's maybe that could be an article for community interest in the local paper. Keep our economy growing buy locally - borrow locally.

I'm on it just let me know if it needs to be general or can I pinpoint one forum and the discussions? Of course I would need permission to publish any topics, Names, etc.

Can you get the reward if you can get something on television? Our local newschannel does a "fact finder" story or rants or raves stories. Can it be on the local news?
