So I finally settled with DollarQuick. I had paid them almost $800 towards an original $300 loan. I sent them the letter of settlement stating my laws and that I wanted my account marked in full. Not even a day later they emailed me an "account paid in full" letter. Today I got a nice email from them stating that since I was such a valued customer they were offering to lend me $500.
Hell no! I think I learned my lesson.

It is clear from the terms of our agreement with, and signed and accept by, you that the matter of your loan is not governed by Mississippi law. We adhere to our claim that our transaction is governed by the law of the place where our company resides which is not Mississippi. Because we are satisfied that our claim in this regard is correct, we agree with you that there is no Federal case law that refutes our claim. If we are correct, as we maintain, why should any case refute us?
Nevertheless, and without derogating from what we have said, we would be prepared for the sake of peace to settle this case on the terms suggested by you with the following proviso. If any payment is not paid by you on or before the due date, the full balance in fact owing by you will immediately become due and payable and we shall pursue all legal steps available to us to recover it.
Sincerely,
DOLLAR QUICK CUSTOMER SUPPORT
This is not true, I applied directly with them on dollarquick.com not a third party. Since getting this from them I have sent two more emails and not gotten a response. What should I do?

How much was your original loan and how much have you paid back? I never dealt with this company so I'm not familiar with their tactics. I can tell you one thing that yes your state law is what they have to follow. This is true and you must execute this point to them. It sounds like they are just trying to hide for now but stick to your guns. Let me know how much you have paid, etc and I will try to help you from there.
