I have been out on a workers comp case, I am not able to support myself and my wife without borrowing money from my mother in law monthly. My wife has an ailment that prevents her from working. And to make matters worse all three of my student loans are in garnishment stage. I live in Aleneva, Alaska. I could file bankruptcy to get out from under all of my medical bills but what can I do about the student loans?

Are these federal or private loans? If federal, you could have consolidated these before you got to this stage...federal loans offer income contingent and income based payments. You need to talk to your lender ...are they already garnishing you or in stage before it??? If you are already being garnished, you would have to rehab your loan.

If these are private loans, that would mean you have already been sued. Nothing you can do.
