Been awhile since I've posted here. (Been pretty busy at work.)

Just thought I would bring everyone up to date on my PDL situation.

Thanks to this site, it's been a pretty successful journey so far.

Here's where I stand since I began this journey on Sept. 4th of this year.

1. Closed old bank account.

2. Faxed and sent letters (by certified mail to as many as possible) to all 7 of the online PDLs I had remaining.

3. Received certified cards from only 3 of the 5 or 6 certified letters I sent.

4. Settled with Telmerica. Closed account (showing paid in full) and got refund for interest overpaid in the amount of $551.00. If I remember correctly, they sent me a letter to this effect.

5. Settled with ICS. Couldn't get them to do a refund on overpaid interest but closed account (showing paid in full.) Received e-mail to this effect.

6. Settled with another lender. The agreement that we made prevents me from discussing the details of this arrangement. Let me just say it will soon be concluded satisfactorily.

7. Settled with Mypaydayloan. They agreed to eliminate any further "interest" and for me to pay the balance due on the loan. I'll be paying $50.00 per payday for the next 8 paydays. I can pay by Moneygram, debit card, whatever.

8. I keep receiving e-mails from CashNet500 saying that they can't draft my account. Told them numerous times why that was done and that I had both faxed and sent them via certified mail. Finally sent them an e-mail with the Word document attached.

9. I keep receiving e-mails from CashNetUSA telling me that I have a balance due of $191.00. The correct balance due (allowed by law) is $87.50. I'm going to have to send them a reply with the Word document attached.

10. Just received an e-mail from United Cash Loans with Word documents attached. In essence, the Word documents said that there was never a reason to close an account. Apparently, like some of the others, they haven't bothered to read my letters even though they're on of the ones that replied to the certified letter. I'll be replying to them with an e-mail with my Word document attached.

My point to this lengthy post is this. If you are fighting the battle with online PDLs, don't give up. Stick to your guns. They'll eventually come around.

You're efforts have definitely been worth it. I'm also dealing with Cashnet500 and am encountering the same as you, so you're not alone. They just keep telling me they only have to follow Utah laws and my $300 loan, which I paid a fee of $90 on before defaulting has now turned into $510 owed.

I've informed them of the legal small loan fees in my state, but getting nowhere. If you make any headway with them, please keep us updated.
