Okay, here's my scenerio. I checked my credit report about a month to two months ago and found some errors. So I log on to annnalcreditreport.com and did my disputes online. I went as far as sending all of my bankruptcy information to each of the credit bureaus so they could correct some of the information. Why is it that TransUnion is much quicker to remove information from your report than Equifax or Experian? Has anyone else experienced this? I went from having 12 adverse accounts on my report to have just 6 on my TransUnion report, after completing all of my corrections. It's not like that on my Equifax or Experian. With this being said, I wonder how this effects my overall credit score. :?

All companies report individually to the credit bureaus. There is a choice factor with each of these companies with whom they want to report first. This ultimately puts impact on the future lenders also with interests of viewing the credit report of their favorite bureaus. This is the reason the credit scores of an individual vary from one bureau to another.

If Transunion has removed the incorrect entries from your file, the other bureaus should also do the same. You will have to stick with them and get this corrected.

Opps. I forgot to log in when replying.

So, are you saying I should send my TransUnion report to the other companies so they can compare or what? I've reported the same discrepancies to each credit bureau. TransUnion deleted them from my report, while the same items continue to remain on the other credit reports.

At this stage, since one bureau has removed the incorrect items from your file, you can expect the same from the other two bureaus also. They can't report inaccurate item intentionally as it will go against the FCRA laws. If there is a need to show some proof from your side, you can think about this option, but let it be at the later stage. Not now.

I went ahead and sent my copies of my TransUnion report to both Experian and Equifax. I mailed them in on Tuesday of this week. Hopefully I will heard something within the next 30 days in regards to the comparison of each report. It seems that TransUnion is much quicker with their investigation than Experian or Equifax. Wish me luck! :)

Okay, so I've heard back from Experian about me sending my TransUnion credit report to them. Needless to day, they did absolutely nothing about it. All they did was send me a copy of my Experian credit report to me. On the letter they sent back to me with the credit report, they basically stated that if I still question the results of the investigation to basically call them directly. Why should I call Experian, when you can NEVER hardly get anyone on the phone. Everything is automated! Does anyone have any advice to give me in regards to this situation? I think something can be done. I bet all three of these credit agency are reporting something totally different. I know that my TransUnion and Experian reports to. I haven't heard back from Equifax yet.
