Oh they wont willing give it to you as I just spoke with the Invesigation department on the phone,
I wanted to make payment arrangements with them and they tell me I still need to pay 400 for a 200 loan that I have paid 155 towards already,
They asked me if I was aware of UCC Section 1
Civil Court Code
What is this?

They may want to ask themselves if they know what it is... The UCC is the Uniform Commercial Code- a central filing office for certain types of financing statements and stuff. It basically allows a creditor to notify other creditors about a debtor's assets used as collateral for a secured transaction by filing a public notice. Nothing to do with payday loans or collection agencies.

Code of Civil Procedure, Civil Code Section, every state has different civil codes which are not related to UCC, so it sounds like he's just slinging acronyms around trying to sound threatening because just like any grouping of legal guidelines and codes, they vary between states and cover about eighty two thousand different topics. If he had a legitimate bone to pick, he would have specified, and not named two separate things at once.

I have been reading up on your posts...I see that someone else has been trying to payoff GFS...they are telling me that they can only debit a bank account. I closed my account and called to tell them this. Do you know if they are willing to accept payment anyother way?

Welcome to the forums Katie. First go to paydayloaninfo.org and look up your state laws on payday lending pay back the principal and what your state allows in interest and not a dime more. Also file complaints with your state Attorney Generals office. The more complaints the better. Most of these companies are also not licensed. Check your secretary of states website to see if they are licensed to do business in your state. Best Wishes Kyside38
