Debt Consolidation
Date: Fri, 08/11/2006 - 20:39
I got myself into a lot of debt and refuse to file for bankruptcy when I believe that I can get myself out of this.
I owe:
CPU Account: $823 30% apr
Line of Credit: $6686.64 26.24% APR
Credit Card: $11555.43 23.99% APR
Credit Card: $4949.91 15% APR
Credit Card: $8811.07 18.175% APR
Can I consolidate? What should I do? You can talk with my son at 805-587-**** (he handles my current financials and actually formatted this letter for me to begin with). He can be reached at 805-587-****

Hi Barbara---as you registered on the site here, a debt counselor should be calling you within the next few days (I don't think they will on weekends, but I am not sure). So be patient and someone will get back to you. In the meantime, enjoy reading the forum message boards and feel free to ask questions.

Yes Barbara, all your credit card debts will be consolidated into one monthly payment. The interest rates will also be lower from what you are paying at present. A counselor will be calling you for some budgeting tips and repayment advice. If the payments suit to you, get started with the plan and the debts will be paid off over a period of time.
