Hi, my bank has been doing courtesy overdraft on my checking acct and at times, I have been over $500 in the hole yet they paid each check. Last week I was on a live chat with them due to a returned check when I had money in the acct but not enough to cover it. They refused to quote exact bank "rules" regarding checks and I asked for the address to the CEO. Now they are bouncing all of my checks and are constanly changing the rules as it suits them. This bank is Viewpoint bank in Plano, TX. In the past, they have also had "system problems" where it defaulted mine and other customers addresses to previous address and I had a VISA check card sent to a wrong address.....again,I was told they had no obligation to let me know this had occured. Help or suggestions on where to file a complaint? I have stopped all deposits going to that bank and am trying to find another one but they are not going to get away with this and to start to bounce my checks "after I ask who the CEO is", that is ludicrous. I have printed out all info from my acct and kept all emails because I expect they will attempt to close my account next. Please help, thanks.

I think you have the right idea, find a new bank. Most banks are not very customer service friendly and feel as though you can do whatever they want. I would try to talk to the CEO or bank branch manager is and see if they can help you out. If they had system problems that caused your problems they should have taken care of it but I'm sure that won't be their attitude.

tina...
go to this site http://www.federalreserve.gov/pubs/complaints/
you'd be able to file a complain with them!

Might I suggest that you get rid of that account and go elsewhere.
Join a credit union, they have wonderful helpful staff, usually free checking, and offer the most competitve loan rates for autos and mortgages.
I use mine, and have not been sorry...
good luck
