I'm battling an alleged ATT battle with Palisades. I have moved around quite a bit since I started my ATT account 8 years ago. I'm assuming the SOL applies to the state in which you originally began your service....???

You are right charlotte, the SOL of that state is considered where the account is originally opened. This alleged account with AT&T seems to be old enough to be reported in your credit report unless you have done any payment recently. One single payment can renew the SOL from the beginning. Check the date of last activity on this account. The SOL timeframe will be calculated from that date and surely it has expired by now unless you have done any payment. Check the laws in the state where the account was opened to confirm the applicable SOL term.
