Hi, welcome to the forums!
T&C is just one of many companies that can help you. I assume that you have been reading testimonials of other members that have dealt with T&C?
Since you've mentioned payday loans, would that be the only thing you'd want to list with a debt consolidator. How many payday loans do you have? Sometimes working directly with the lendors is a better fit. It all really depends on your situation I guess.
Signing up on this site gives you the oppurtunity to speak with a debt counselor for free. Usually one is found in your area. They will go over the program benefits, and explain how debt consolidation works.
Unfortunately, we cannot provide T&C's information. We'd ask that you stick around in the forums, and let the counselor that is referred to you try and help you.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Mike

Hi, welcome back!
Dealing with local lendors might be a little easier than the payday lendors. I recommend that you call each one of them, and let them know of your situation, however, before anything spirals out of control.
Start saving now if possible. Penny pinching might become part of your vocabulary, and you might end up a little broke for the next 6 months or so, but getting them paid off will be such a relief for you.
You'll feel alot happier once the payday loans are gone. You're not the only one that has fallen into the trap. It may take a little time, but you'll soon get rid of them all.
If you don't hear anything from a debt consolidator, which should contact you at the number you listed when joining this site, then try giving customer service a call at 800-601-1579.
I'd also like to add that you don't have to wait for the debt consolidator to call you to start getting help. You can gain valuable knowledge by sticking around in the forums. Many of the members have found that the payday loan companies that they dealt with were not licensed in their state, and therefor they couldn't collect from them.

How would I find out if they are licensed in my state?

You can do different searches on the payday lendors. What are the names that you've dealt with?
As far as closing your checking account, I cannot advise you to do that. That is totally up to you. Do you have any funds in your account? Internet payday lendors will attempt to retrieve their money each payday, so beware of NSF appearing on your account if you keep the account open.

pay day loans
My account is probably negative today because of this last friday being my payday and they all got their fees out. I've got one with Arrowhead, Route66, Little Loan shoppe, etc.
Many people are complaining against Route 66 Funding these days.
Many people are complaining against Route 66 Funding these days. Read the link below to get a better idea about their mischievous business practices. I will suggest you using extreme caution while dealing with the internet loan companies. The accounts are often found disputed added with excessive interest rates and fees. Review your loan statements carefully and compare it with the state laws. You should not pay a single dime more than the due amount.

While you are disputing any item with the internet loan companies, make sure that you are working on your accounts with the storefront lenders also. They may be quick enough to take actions against you if no item is disputed by you. Try to avoid any actions against you in the court. Make your payment proposals and ensure that you stick to it.
PAY DAY LOAN
Hi Mikey,
I've read your advise to Rusty. I've registered here & been advised to hang on, wait for a call by one of the counselors but did not received any. Been a member for quite sometime but still lost and don't know where to go. I got some help from other members by giving info on consolidation companies that can help me solve my problem w/ pdl but still no luck. It's either, the company that I've been referred to will say pdl cannot be consolidated or the company's phone number is out of service. Any serious advise will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Check the email you entered in this website while filling up the application form. The name of the consolidation company in your area must be mentioned in it with their toll free number. You can give a call directly and ask for the free counseling. Perhaps, they might have called you at some time when you were unavailable. Go through your mails and voicemails if you can find any information. Try the customer care at 800-601-1579 for knowing the status of your free counseling.

I have to agree with joshnvince's response. I've read the topic that explains why some companies (one in particular) are not passed on to us when we sign up, and I will abide by the decision that was explained in that. I was in seriously bad shape and I found the help I needed on my own. I do believe that the company I am dealing with now can be a lifesaver for someone like joshnvince or Rusty's (I'm not sure what joshnvince's situation is, but I know I was in similar shape to Rusty)circumsatnce. I know that you may have arrangements with some companies, but when the company that calls cannot help you and you can't find anyone that can it is very depressing and that is not the goal of this website in my opinion. Everyone here has great advise, but for Rusty, he needs some additional help, in my opinion. I don't mean to sound negetive, and I know this does, but I want to see these guys get the help they feel they need.

Rusty,
I am able to filter ACH withdrawls from my account which will work for this week, I had to go to my bank and fill out a form. You may have to close the account in the long run anyway, but there may be another option instead of closing the account. Either way, be ready for all heck to break loose when they find out what is going on and don't be intimidated by their threats and lies.
