After my wife and moved to Phoenix everything seemed to be on an upswing for us. We both found decent paying jobs that we love and our bank account was in the 4 digits for the longest time ever. Then one night I mentioned that we hadn't seen a bill for the insurance for a while. We logged on to our companies website and found we were a month behind in payments. And not just for insurance. 2 credit cards and a student loan as well! Trying to catch up is the hardest part.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that we took out a PDL to help pay rent. All that really did though was delay are account from dipping into the red, which it's done now anyway.

Welcome to the forums :D Have you tried to deal with the original creditors yet? That would be my first step. Explain the circumstances, and that you want to get this taken care of. Sometimes if you appear that you aren't running or hiding from the debt, they will work with you. I would try this before they send it to collection agengy, they aren't so forgiving! Good Luck-keep us posted. Also if you signed up for the free credit counseling, someone will be contacting you, consolidation may help...Karen

Hi lleu81

We all make mistakes and sometimes forget about the due dates. Today, I was just about to forget paying my monthly installment to the loan account I have with my bank. Today is the last date. For some reasons, if I had missed this due date, late payment fees and interest rates would have been surely tucked on it. This would have been bad for me because I would have not only paid the extra charges because of my forgetfulness but I would also have spoiled a very good payment history with the bank. Till date, I never had rolled my credit balance with them. And I am one of the few privileged customers in their records.

lleu81, try to make the payment as early as possible so that your credit doesn't get tarnished further.
