I am recently divorced and with my truck payment and my rent/utilities money got short so i fell into the cash advance money pit. Borrowed $400.00 paid bills then when paycheck time came over half of it went to pay back the cash advance so i had to borrow more to get me through next payday and on and on. Before i knew it i was taking out one cash advance to pay off another and its just crazy. I hate payday because it just means i paid on a payday loan and have no money left over for the important stuff.

how do i find out what the laws are in OHIO, if anyone could tell me it would be much appreciated.

The storefront lenders will probably be more likely to work with payment arrangements than the online lenders. What two online lenders are you dealing with?

Here is another forum that have people discussing PDL's in Ohio. You might want to check that out.

Also here is a BLOG from a member who has all the links to check the licensing of States along with the rules and regulations of the PDL lenders.

Thank you, the two online lenders are one click cash, i made 4 payments of $105.00 for a $350.00 loan and when they took out a 5th amount of $160.00 i called them and they said the $105.00 was just to roll the loan over i still owed $500.00, i coulnd't beleive it. The other one is cashnet usa.

I'm not sure about the PDL's laws for OHIO, but once you find out what the max interest rate is for OHIO, then you can calculate and see if you have overpaid or not. If you have overpaid, you may want to try and request a paid in full letter. Which you can find a copy of that on the second link I attatched in my last posting. Most likely your store front lenders are following the state laws, but it doesn't hurt to double check. You should do a search for those two online PDL's on this website, I know a lot of people have dealt with them both. I don't think Oneclickcash was an easy one to work with.

JenjOhio, Here are the laws $15 per 100 borrowed. No Rollover Allowed. Maximum contract 500 Must have license as check casher. So you have overpaid on the online loan plus they are not licensed. One Click is affilated with Rio Resouces and are difficult people. I never did have cashnetusa. Hope this helps I would contact them and give them state laws and ask for paid in full status . Sue, I think we all know about Rio lol. I can not believe how many names they hide under. Maybe someday we will get justice against them. KYSIDE38

The store front lenders in Ohio are....Urgent Cash & Cash Land, Urgent Cash is working with me on a repayment, but Urgent cash doesnt want to. I just closed out my account, it got to the point where my entire paycheck was going to paying back thoes loans and I had no money to pay bills and the hole was just getting deeper and I had to do something, I feel alot better now. I feel like I'm in control of my money and Im paying them back.
