I am starting a plan with T&C and a large number of the creditors are pdl's. I have sent them a letter explaining my circumstance and telling them not to contact me at work as well as requesting that they send me a statement of all money that I owe them. I sent it certified mail. I know many of you have gone through this and I am curious how the companies will react to this? Any feed back will help me be prepared for what is next.

Good for you! Getting out and realizing the detriment of the pdl cycle is first and foremost!
Most companies will accept the proposals from T&C, however, there are some that will squawk and eventually relent.
Keep a good eye on your accounts, and if you should get any calls from the pdl's, just refer them to T&C...eventually the calls will stop!
Some may still call and try to threaten, just stay strong and tell them in no uncertain terms that they can contact T&C and give them their number and hang up!
Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Szo true, Mycashnow accepted a proposal of $60 a month but i had some trouble with the mail here and my payment to T & c didnt get there so they have not sent any money to them yet which is has been just a bout a month so they called me to tell me that they have not gotten payment and they didnt think they were going to work with T & C I did tell them that it does take time to get thing in the system with T & C and that they would get thier money but they are hounding me to send payment instead and I dont feel comfortable doing this with them after all I have read about them, Up tp this point Mycashnow has been pretty good and understanding but not much anymore what you just send them the money? I cant afford to pay T & C and also pay these places Im still trying to dig my self out of the hole that the PDL's put me in in the first place so I dont have extra money to pay them too

Its Txtreasure I couldnt log in for some reason but anyway, T & C from what I have found doesnt really negotiate the way i would want a debt consolidation company to work in that when they sent out the orignal proposals knowing somewhat about my financail issues they sent them out for example they sent one out to Household bank and it came back that they wouldt accept the proposal and wanted more money a month and T & C just said Ok, and raised my payments to reflect that, I do understand that the CC compaines are lowering or will most of them the interest rate but my god if I couldnt pay or was having a hard time paying the minium payments to the CC companies and through T & C that min is still the same as before what good does that do me? in the present time ? Follow me? Mycashnow told T & C they would only accept 60 a month instead of T & C calling and telling them that I could only afford X amount a month, I have called and left messages with T & C to call me today but they are very busy so I will call them back monday if I dont get a call from them today,
Mycashnow says they will take me to court and so do the others that I have They are all internet PDL's None of them has sent me any validation or copies of the contracts that I asked for either This crap just stresses me out !

I was more stressed out when I didn't know what to do. It really is a relief to know that i have T&C working on my behalf. I know that I will be in touch regularly with T&C to make sure that I know where I stand on things, but since I sent out my letters I've only heard from one company. That is a collection company that I was turned over to by an un-named loan. They want $510.00, I'll just turn this over to T&C. It makes sense to stay on top of this and not just rely on T&C. It's still my problem to resolve.
