my story is a little different of that of someone who is older, and who really could have a reason to be in debt. ME, on the other hand, had no reason, but besides going to school. even that... i supposedly had it taken care of. well, that eventually backfired, while i was in the moment of thinking i was somekind of millionaire... spending away... and.. well, you can imagine how that ended up. im a full-time student... and have a full-time job FOR MY SCHOOLING... and in debt about 5,000 dollars. my credit cards were maxed out... and the minimum payments were more than each paycheck. NOW I AM HERE LOOKING FOR HELP. i am going to get married in about a year, and would hate for my future husband to inheirit my mess. i need help, and i am mature enough to realize my errors, and now seeking help. I HOPE THIS WORKS!!!

Hi Jenelly! You have taken the right decision. It's doesn't look nice to start new relation taking your past debts along. There might be some exceptions when things have already gone out of control. If you can take control now and repair your credit, your future husband will get a better impression about you. He will find you to be a responsible woman in real life. You have a good income to pay off your past bills. I am sure you will be happier after you have corrected your past mistakes. And, you will also get something to learn during this period and use it during your married life. I wish you all the best!

jenelly1987--Hi and welcome!!! Your best bet would be to join a debt consolidation group. Look over on the right hand side of your screen under 'Our services' and click on the 'free consultation' link. It will take you to a page where you give them your basic info and they will give you a call. They will help you combine your credit cards, lower your monthly payments and with time, lower your interest rate. Its good that you want to get a handle on it now before it spins out of control and I can understand your frustrations with your monthly statements being more than your paycheck. This is why a debt program is a good thing for you!!! Go ahead and give them your information, talk to them. They can help!!! shirley

HI Jenelly,
Not to put yourself in difficult decision, you have made yourself in a hot soup. But the most important thing is you realize what you had done and regretted. Its better to regret now than never. This is the most important steps on realizing your debts.

So now, lets move on. Now we have to start thinking to cover your debts in a systematic way. If you agree with me, hope you list out the amount money that you owe and the things that you can do to earn money. Since you are a FULL time student, the repayment should be slow.

So thats all for now.
