Hey there....
some of us are wondering...why don't you register here?
Been talking to polly and others, and we're intrigued by your posts!
Post a picture for us, huh????

I'm flattered and wish I could be a little more open. Polly knows who I really am and I am eternally grateful that she's kept my secret so well.

(BTW - This reminds me . . . several weeks ago I promised to e-mail Polly a legal opinion I wrote once and I've since forgotten all about it. Sorry, Polly. I'll get that out to you tomorrow.)

Unfortunately, not only consumers and consumer advocates read this board. Lenders do too, and some of them are my clients. (I do corporate and compliance work as an attorney.) Even if that were not the case, some of the posters on this board have pending AG and/or BBB complaints against some of my clients. These factors make it difficult for me to reveal much about myself.

The anonymity of "guest" status allows me to give my honest opinions about the state of the law and the lending business in general. And some of my opinions are not ones my clients would approve of. But if I came out from "behind the mask," I'd have to be an advocate. It would be unethical for me to make a public statement that might inconsistent with the interests of my clients.

I'm gradually moving my practice away from its corporate focus towards one more consumer-oriented. Perhaps when this is completed, I can be more forthcoming about myself.

Jedi, don't worry we were jonesing to know what you looked like too! You have a sense of humor that was intriquing to all of us.

MBLC's intellect is intriquing. (He has to be hot Liz)

Stanley...if you are reading this you have a sweetness about you that is very attractive!

Roadwarrior has a bad boy appeal to him that is ultimately sexy.

We girls talk about this stuff!

Personally, cold showers don't work for me. :D

The key is the IMG button (under reply, not quick reply).

It's simply the point of putting the direct URL to the pic between the {img} & {/img} (I use the "{" cuz if I used the "[", they would disappear). Let's example. I'll search google for "jedi". If you click on IMAGES at the top, we find a listing. Second line, let's post that "Jedi Throwdown D00D" pic. The key is to get it's direct URL. As I click through, I find the URL the image is stored reads:

flakmag.com/opinion/images/jedi.jpg

[color=red]Deactivating the link now as per forum rules - Mike[/color]

So, by putting that inside the IMG tags:

{img}http://flakmag.com/opinion/images/jedi.jpg{/img} (Remember, I am using "{" and "}" - replace same with "[" & "]"), we get:

Now, if you cut and paste, you can hit the "Img" button and it will put the beginning down. Then paste your URL and hit the "Img" button again for the closing tag.

How cool is that? So, what do I win?

Yes - you did it. And correct - get rid of the google tag. You want the direct URL. If you use the google image find, click on the link at the very top that says "show full sized image". That will only have the direct URL in the address bar.

Now please mop up your drool - I dang near killed myself.
