Being a single woman in the working world I have made some silly mistakes because of the need of money or just because there was something I just had to have. I put myself in major debt after just getting out of minor debt before I purchased my condo. It was this credit company sending me checks and it seem to be at the times I needed money most. After I have torn up two checks that they have sent the third one wasn't so lucky. I debated long and hard if I was going to actually cashed it I prayed and prayed and it seem to have been heaven sent. Really it was just a test to see how weak I was and I was very weak I went through that money like a hot knife cutting butter. So here I am now looking for ways to pay this line of credit off that I have been paying but it just seems the balance never goes down. :(

I am sorry to hear about your situation. Which credit company is this?

You can take help of a consolidation program in which you will be able to combine the credit card debts into one single payment. The interest rates on your credit card balance might be too high, probably; you are paying towards interests alone. In a consolidation plan, the interests will be lowered down and you will actually see money going towards the principal. Try a free quote. I hope this decision helps you

Welcome to the forums-we're glad you found us :D All of us have made some stupid(my case ) decisions or unwise moves,that's why we're here! But you have found this site and want to take control of your debt,that's the positive! If you signed up for the free credit counseling,someone will call soon.Christina is right,consolidation may be the solution you are looking for,your counselor will help you by dong debt to income ratio and other thing that will help see what path to take ..Keep us posted...Karen
