Debt collection letters to pay 2496 dollars

I was with AT&T's cellular phone company. Now they have your company sending me debt collection letters to pay 2496 dollars. Their service was a rip off. I am currently stationed overseas, and I gave them notice that I was leaving and to cancel my plan, but they did not do so. Thank you.
