I sent an email to the BBB in Las Vegas, NV concerning the way I was cheated out of $1500. EDollarsDirect got $1500 from me against a $300 loan. Their paperwork said they were located in Nevada, but when I was contacted by a lawyer and told I was being taken to court by EDollars, the lawyers office was out of Florida. Can someone please give me some advise on how to get my money back from these \"CROOKS\". I felt so stupid for falling into their trap, but I see I\'m not the only one. The letter I received from the BBB of Nevada stated a complaint had been submitted to EDollars (which we all now will not do any good) for a possible resolution, but that\'s all they were capable of doing at this point. They suggested contacting the Small Claims Court in Las Vegas or the Consumer Affairs Division. Does anyone know if they are actually based out of Las Vegas or Florida. Help! I just want to let anyone who is even considering dealing with the people to know THEY ARE NOT LEGITIMATE AND STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

Filing complaints is necessary. If the illegal activities are not reported with the bureaus, how will they come to know about their shady business and take future actions? Anyone dealing with such companies and their actions are found illegal; file complaints at the BBB, FTC, state attorney general or any nearest law enforcement agency.

starlingeb91, EDollarsDirect has to follow your state laws on charging the interests and fees on the principal. You must find out the legal charges of payday loans from your AG's website. After you have got the real picture, format a refund letter giving the utmost legal importance and send it to EDollarsDirect. You must get a response from them. If you don't, consult an attorney and file a lawsuit. The company not only has to mark your account "paid in full" but also refund you the excess money taken

I too am facing the same problem, which lead me to Google and to type in edollarsdirect to see what came up. I too must have taken out a loan with them and have been having fees taken out each pay period, and have no way of contacting them, I have had no email reminders opting me to pay the loan off in full. I contacted my bank and put a stop payment on the fees bing taken each pay period. Before the they put the next deduction in on my next payroll date, I received a call a few days later from an attorneys office called Bass and Associated, stating that edollarsdirect hired them to collect the money including court fees. I haven't technically defaulted on the loan as of yet, since no communication from edollarsdirect has been sent to me via email or by phone requesting me to pay the loan in full. How should I handle this situation. I refuse to pay anything until I hear from edollarsdirect.

Be very careful with Bass and Associates, they are a shady company and do not send them any money. They are going to threaten you with arrest and all types of false threats which are illegal. They will sound believable if you let them intimidate you , if you start to get harassing phone calls from this company you need to report them to FL state attorney general's office. It is awful funny that you haven't even defaulted yet, and yet they are saying they were hired to collect on your "defaulted" pdl. there is alot of posts on this site about Bass and Associates and none of them are good, full of their illegal threats. Stand up to them, they can't do anything to you, they are just a bunch of criminals.

Try reading more about this company here: http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/creditors-information/about13221.html Now I should say there are legitimate companys out there that go by the same or similar name, but if this company is from Florida, then more than likely this is the same bass and associates using illegal collecting activities. Do not send them your money, chances are that your bill won't get paid. Tell them to give you their address so that you can send them a cease and desist letter and a debt validation letter.

State fines unlicensed Internet loan company $50,000

(Las Vegas, NV) ???????? State Financial Institutions Division Deputy Commissioner Steven Kondrup has issued a cease and desist order against Internet lender MW Marketing dba Freedom Financial Group and EDOLLARDIRECT.com to stop loan and check cashing activities immediately. The Las Vegas-based company has been engaging in deferred-deposit loans, short-term loans, title loans and check-cashing services without a state license, a violation of Nevada law.

Earlier this month, state examiners discovered that the company was operating loan and check-cashing services via the Internet at EDOLLARDIRECT.com as well as other electronic media.

Kondrup ordered the maximum fine of $50,000. The order also provides remedies to consumers by allowing other parties involved in check cashing or loan activities to void their contracts and seek additional remedies or penalties through civil court.

???????Consumers should be wary of giving their personal information to an Internet company without first verifying that the company is licensed to conduct business in Nevada. Otherwise, they could be prey to identity theft and financial risks, and the state could do little to help them,??????? Kondrup advised.

For more information, log on to www.fid.state.nv.us or call the Nevada Financial Institutions Division, (702) 486-4120, Las Vegas, or (775) 684-1842, Carson City.
