I am being harrassed by United Cash, in which I am pretty sure that they violated the usury laws. I know I paid quite a bit of interest. Does anyone know if they are licensed to practice in the state of Colorado. He says that they have not violated the usury laws, but I am sure that they have.

Any suggestions? I know I have read forums on here before about United Cash??? help!

Pentagroup Financial represents United Cash Loans. There are issues against them for not completing the licensing formalities in most states, including Colorado. Go through these links below. Maybe, you will collect all the necessary information.

UCL is a debt collection agency. The debt must be validated under the federal laws. If you want to prove one of their federal law violations, send a debt validation letter for the account they are trying to collect. Attach a cease and desist communication with it. Chances are that if they are not following legitimate collections, they will pursue collections without giving out the info and violate the cease and desist communication. A log file of the time and dates of the calls and the name of the caller along with will help you in filing the lawsuit against them with stronger points.

I believe United Cash Loans is a payday loan company, and they have their own internal collections.
The fdcpa won't apply to them with a cease and desist. The best way to fight them is to send them letters regarding their violation of state usury laws as well as licensing violations...

I am glad to get all of this info. The guy who called me twice today at work - after me giving them cease and desist letters a long time ago - and I specifically asked him about the usury laws and being licensed in the State of Colorado. He said they are licensed in every state - big lie!

I don't know what I would do without this site!
