This person with the loan co has been only sporadically E-mailing me and has called me once about this debt, however, in her E-mail she states she's tried numerous times to call me and that she's sent various mailings. I've not received any mail. I've also asked her to verify what loan company she is with and how much the debt is in writing and she has not done so. Any suggestions on what I ought to do? Thanks.

Have you pulled your credit report recently? Is this the loan company calling, or a collection agency? You can write up a letter asking for validation, and include a cease and desist letter in the process. Give them enough time to investigate, and if they can't prove the debt is yours, they have to remove any negative information from their systems, and cease contact with you.
