PDL Collection Agency on Credit Report

It's strange. Why a CA is placing negative remark in your file when the payday loan company has already written off the balance. Will it be possible that the CA got the chance to report in your file earlier than the date when the creditor wrote the balance off?

No, the pdl company called the CA the day that decided to write off my balance. I had just made payment arrangements with the CA a few days prior to this. They even faxed a letter to the CA stating this which I also have a copy of. I have a copy of the letter from the CA stating nothing would be placed on my report so I'm sure things will turn out fine. I'm not going to lose any sleep over this one.

As long as you have the back up, you have placed yourself comfortably. Your credit scores are going down because of this, you need to get it fixed asap before the credit scores are updated.

I disputed online with the credit bureau last week.

Actually, I wasn't even angry when I saw it was on there which was a first for me. I knew what I had to do to take care of the situation. I'm trying to clean up my credit report while I'm in debt settlement. I just wanted others to know to make sure these things don't happen to them. There were a couple of other inaccuracies on there as well which I also disputed. I'm starting with my Trans Union report and I will go from there. :P
