All,

I called FSM Group Inc dba FSM Processing Inc and asked for Kathy Reynolds as per previous suggestioned. I explained to her my situation and how much I have paid to date on a $250 loan with a $75 renewal fee - to date I have paid $600. She advise me to contact Carmen Hernandez, some supervisor there. Well Carmen and I were finally able to make contact after playing phone tag since Friday. I explained the same thing to Carmen as I did to Kathy and she was aware cause Kathy gave her the bg info. I had asked for FSM to credit my account paid in full but she stated they cannot do that but offered a settlement. Below is the settlement offer she provided:

Per our conversation on 9/25/06; I have credited your $250.00 principal balance with FSM $150.00. Your remaining principal balance is $100 plus a $30.00 finance charge. In addition, as a One Time Courtesy, FSM is skipping your upcoming due date of 9/29/06. Your next due date will be 10/13/06 for the finance charge only of $30.00. Please call atleast 3 business days in advance if you wish to paydown or payoff your loan.

I still feel as if I am overpaying them and this one time courtesy offer just seems so ridiculous after paying them $600 already. Do I just bite the bullet and make payment arrangements? I don't want them having my new checkign account info. Do I send a money order if I agree to this?? Your thoughts?

Color me confused.... :?:

On one hand, I'd tell them to bite me! 30 bucks? What buttheads!
On the other, I'd probably pay it to get them outta my face. Definately send a money order and write on it, "loan paid in full". Then make a copy of it and send it to the loansharks!
Just for fun, I'd send them off a letter requesting a refund too. lol
