I still can't decide between a settlement company or a consumer credit consolidation.

I am still afraid of what the repercussions would be with my creditors and using a settlement company.

My credit card debt is around 60,000 and the repayment with the ccc is SOOOOO high. It is only about 200 less than what I try to pay now.
The settlement amount is way lower around 700 less a month.

If you guys have any suggestions for a good settlement company, please pm me!

In the end you will have to decide what is best for your budget, and what you can afford. From what I've learned about settlement companies, the company doesn't have to accept your offer, and while the company you hired to work out the arrangements is making offers to your creditors, the creditors can still call you. You don't want to get yourself in a bind by agreeing to something you can not afford to make payments on.

Your total debt is also very high. If you put this under consolidation plan, it will take long time to get out of it. Consolidation plan will waive off the financial charges and the late fees. The interest rates will be lowered down and you will stop getting creditor's calls after a couple of payments are done to them.

Settlement program will offer a huge reduction after a large portion gets settled. You will finish the plan quite sooner. A suitable tip in deciding with a settlement company will be that your settlement company must have had positive results with your creditors in the past. You can presume positive results after getting into the plan.

At the end, it is your decision that's suitable for you.
