First this board has been a blessing to me and I appreciate all of your help.

Ok going to give you the reader's digest version of a letter I sent to PayCheck Today just this afternoon.
I took out a loan with them a couple of weeks for $300 with a $90 fee so far I have paid $90. Now I am not disputing paying them back but because I had to close my checking account due to other pdl's I proposed a solution to PayCheck Today. My letter stated Ohio's laws etc and that I am not avoiding paying them in anyway. I had asked to set up payment arrangements and where to send a money order too. This was their response.

We received your last email. Although we do maintain the right to debit your account as per the original loan agreement we will honor your request and not debit. We do not accept mailed payments but do accept credit cards and or Moneygram. We will freeze your account at $300. Please advise as to how you can pay and when. If necessary we can split payment into 2 or three payments.

Okay what the heck is a moneygram? I don't know and have never dealt with that before. They won't accept a money order? Has anyone experienced this before?

Thanks again for your help.

This is the final outcome with Pay Check Today. I just replied to their emails and then provided a recap of communication to them. Again thank you for all your help.

Mike,
I appreciate your quick reply. I would like to thank you for honoring my request and freezing my account at $300.

Just recapping our email communication from today, September 27, 2006; if anything is missing please reply and edit in red:

Pay Check Today read the letter that was sent on 9/27/06 and responded via email 9/27/06
Pay Check Today proposed freezing my account under xxxxxxxx at $300.
Pay Check Today offered payment option by credit card or moneygram stating they do not accept mailed payments.
Pay Check Today also requested when xxxx can pay the $300 back and what method of payment.
Also, payment can be split by Pay Check Today into 2 or 3 payments.
xxxxxxx responded to email 9/27/06 counter offered with postal money order again verses the credit card and money gram payment option
xxxxx explained reasoning. (Sending a moneygram will cost a significant amount more than what I can afford, a postal money order will cost $0.95 verses paying for a moneygram fee that is not within my budget $12/moneygram transaction in person at a local monegram store and $14/moneygram transaction online.)
xxxxx then requested the payments to be split into three payments which consists of $100 each totaling $300 to pay off debt.
xxxxxxxx then proposed if additional funds became available she would have the option to send more than the $100 proposed to pay the debt of $300 sooner.
xxxxxxx then provided a detailed payment schedule:
October 15, 2006 - $100
October 31, 2006 - $100
November 15, 2006 - $100 (this last payment would settle the $300 debt to Pay Check Today)
xxxxxxxxx requested address to send money order to.
Pay Check Today again replied and advised where to send postal money orders too.

Also, I would like to request proof of this debt being paid in full once final payment has been received by Pay Check Today.

Thank you,
xxxxxxx

Does anyone know if this address is still valid? We took out a loan with them last payday and have since switched banks. Someone got our banking information and ripped us off by a few hundred dollars. Anyway, we aren't giving them the new acct. info. I have a money order ready to send to pay this in full, but they are refusing to take it, claiming they don't accept mail payments. I just want to be sure this is still a good address before mailing out the money order--and you can bet I'm sending it certified mail, along with keeping my money order stub forever.
