I have been making settlement offers to a few collectors and/or accepting their settlement offers and they are ignored. I just keep getting the same form letter in the mail? Anyone have any thoughts? There must be a fdcpa rule that says they have to respond to you. Most didn't respond to my requests for additional info on the accouts.

Not all debts are bought. Debts usualy 3 years older or more are bought sometimes up to two years after your creditor decides that they feel you are never going to own up to the money they lent you or for services rendered to you when you requested them.

Any they can and will ignore any attempt to settle the account if they don't want to. There is no law binding them that they have to call you upon recieving your mail or accept your offer.
