There is no beast without cruelty...F.N. This much is true. My girlfriend of 11 years (common law marriage is not recognized in the state of California, "THANK YOU JESES")left me for broke. Or should I say I left her. She chardged all my cards to the max as we were breaking up.Held nothing back. So, here I am trying toget things in order. Are you responsible for what she bought if you weren't married to her? You didn't authorize her to use them, so I would see if there's any way you can put it back on her.

My son's ex-girlfriend, who he lived with for a year and a half, did that to him, and he called the credit card companies and told them he didn't authorize the purchases. He also had a bank account that she wrote a check out to cash, which he also was able to fight because it wasn't a joint account. She had forged his signature.
